Pretty reasonably priced and sounds like they almost got no brake dust on the wheels. Very tempted to get them! Only got 5k miles so far on the stock pads. Will see.... How much less dust do they produce vs stock?

I’ve had the Z26 pads for a while. They work as advertised with respect to no dust. That being said the brake bite when it is heated on spirited runs is poor. Nothing close to the stock pads. I hate the performance of the Z26 pads so much that I switched to Stoptech Sport pads for the street. There is some dust but I am ok with it.

i am a driver not a waxer.

I've been using these Hawk TC Performance Ceramic Brake Pads for about 1 month now and I am really impressed. What I like is they perform great, no noise, stop on a dime, no dust problems and they are made in the USA. I have no problems with rotors turning brown like others report using the Chinese Power Stops. The full set will cost about $220. The key is you need to bed them properly. Instructions to bed are written on the outside of the shipping box. A small packet of high-temp brake grease is included with every box. These pads are going to be my go-to brakes for my new C7 GS.

Here are the product part numbers for those interested. Give them a try. They will not disappoint.

Front Pads: Hawk Performance HB649Z.605 Performance Ceramic Brake Pad

Rear Pads: Hawk Performance HB727Z.592 Disc Brake Pad PC w/0.592 Thickness

What would you recommend for track days/HPDE? (Beginner so just started doing it, so budget level that works would be fine)

Powerstop all the way. No questions. I have used their rotors, and both track day and street no dust pads for years.

no problems here with spirited runs my c6z and now missy piggy my c7z. and multiple hard braking events with the z26. Initial bite and subsequent as good or better then stock.

For a beginner take a look at the Carbotech XP8 they can be safely driven on the street and are a true track pad. Obviously they are not low dust but the great thing about Carbotech brake pads is all their compounds are compatible with each other. So, when going from the 1521 (Street pad) to the XP series (Track) pads all you have to do is swap pads and go no re-bedding no cleaning of the rotors just swap pads and go. This also saves you the cost of having to get a separate set of rotors for track or street.
