Another example of E/T has nothing to do with MPH for people that
think otherwise...Your car hauls *** in spite of your tranny.

I'm not 100% sure what he means but many people have gone 9.9 with a lower mile an hour. People on stock blower with 18" and skinnies have gone 9s but usually at 137-138 mph. I also think I would of trapped a few MPH more with skinnies and tranny shifting good.

[QUOTE=Higgs Boson;1596799817]what does that mean? 141 is a lot of MPH for a 9.9x[/QUOT cars..
Simply put there are a lot of people on all forums that think because on a pretty clean run they ran say a 11.40 @ 125 someone will say "with practice you can run 10.9s @ 130"...I'm simply saying that if your ET drops 4 to 5 tenths your MPH does not go up accordingly.. The Vette hauls...The MPH is right in line with the ET...When I was a kid (mid 70s)I had a turbo'd Kawasaki 900 that ran 9.90 @ 142 every run...Things don't change...I have friends with Hellcat Chargers that run 9.90s @ 140 to 143 with a big fat cars...They amaze me every time out.

my race car goes 9.75 at 135 because it leaves (relatively) hard but only has a naturally aspirated 327ci engine, makes about 580 HP at the crank.

well, that depends. there is a point in your 60 ft time where you WILL go from a faster ET/MPH combination to just a faster ET without an increase in MPH so the peanut gallery could be correct.

Of course other things can happen during the run to offset that.
At the end of the day, for any MPH there is a minimum possible ET to achieve it but no maximum.
