Looking at the time slip this use this Tune time package makes the Z06 a major challenge to the ZR1 in street or 1/4 mile contests.
Impressive!

Me, or 3 Z06ZR1? I was the one who used few words to link to an already existing thread about outcomes from his larger blower install, in an attempt to diminish diarrhea of the keyboard in this thread. Major diarrhea of the keyboard is readily available in the thread I linked to, should anyone be interested in that.

I've run that car. Mine is stock. The dyno tells only small part of the story here. In real world the car leaves me by 65 70 and never looks back. Which is evidenced in the time slip he posted. It's only exacerbated the higher up in mph you start a race. From a dig it's close until the car and put it all down. Other than that? It walks a stock Z06 A8. Hard. The 2300 is the perfect upgrade to our cars if you're looking for more without a) breaking the bank b) reliable and not tearing into the engine itself. The 2300 is such a better blower than ours. Chevy trying to fit it in overseas caused us to deal with this. It wasn't because it was "better" in any way.

running the small blower harder does it at the cost of heat. Like listening to a clock radio for music when there's a stereo nearby. Both get it done but one does it much easier than the other (and more effectively). My opinion. I am biased though.

Maybe...., don't you think the ZR1 owners are going to do a few simple mods like Intake/filter ect. Just wait!

Also, just imagine Headers, Intake, Pulley and you will see north of 900hp for sure.

Remember, the car already has the fuel and cooling issues addressed.

I have a few questions;
What size headers are you using?
What brand thermostat?
How much boost over stock are you running?
What is the difference in IAT after the SC?
Thanks

Nice post! Better option than pulleys on the 1.7 that over spin the little 1.7 refuse to install a meth tank to use the washer tank.
My car is absolute rocket compared to stock! Quite sure it is too much for the new ZR1 to hang with!

The 1 nay sayer has has no clue or experience! Just opinions and stock a Z06 A8 that's it! The 2300 Even weighs less and the car runs a little cooler!

Fuel is not addressed! Both cars have the same fuel low and high fuel pumps. First GM has said no modding on this car or warranty is gone no tuning.
GM has encrypted the ECM! So no mods beyond the intake. Plus both cars need major bucks for fuel beyond a point not much higher than where it is.
The 2300 is a major lift on the Z06. Already had the same build of Halltech and PTB and headers just swapped blowers. Only showed 40 rwhp peak.
But like another above posted only part of the story the car is lifted to a new level. My up hill test run was netting low mid- 130's now the same run hit 140!

The fuel is addressed, the car has 8 port injectors and 8 DI injectors. Tuning will void any new car warranty including the Z06. As far as the encryption the car was just released so too early to tell. The blower should be good for 1k rwhp.

It has the same fuel pumps same volume and with more injectors it is about out of gas with out major stuff like the Z06 needs past a certain level!
The blower is good for more but you have to feed it and then other mods. I do this stuff!
If your saying the stock ZR1 has the fuel "addressed" to hit 1000 rwhp you really have idea what your saying.
The stock pumps are way short!

The high pressure pump and DI injectors are the same, i doubt the low pressure pump will not flow more volume. Lets assume for the sake of argument that it is the same. A simple auxiliary fuel pump should make way more power than any full bolt on head and cam C7 Z06. You want more swap the port injectors for some ID 1050's and you will make a lot of power with $2500 invested in parts. Not counting the tune and pulley swap of course.

The fact that they broke the Duramax LP5 ecu protection today tells me that the ZR1 will also be broken its just a matter of time imo.

ps: Tune Time i apologize i did not mean to hijack your thread.
