I had an LMR expansion tank and made a video on how to bleed the system with a 1" tube. After dealing with cavitation and pump shutdown for months with the LMR tank, I removed the tank and installed new stock hoses, and vacuum bled the system. I have never had an issue with the intercooler pump shutting down after I went back to stock and vacuum bled. I also tried vacuum bleeding with the LMR tank and it was impossible to get enough air out. If the aftermarket expansion tank introduces bubbles, you will have cavitation and shutdown. I recommend that you remove the tank, and go back to stock.
Vacuum bleeding the intercooler was the same process as many of the videos on Youtube for car radiators. I did vacuum bleed it a few times to get it just right, but it was only few minutes each time. The goal is to make sure the stock clear intercooler reservoir located under the front bumper is a full as possible. It is very important that when the car starts up and shuts off the level in this reservoir should change very little. If the fluid drops when the car starts and and refills when turned off, you have too much air in the system.
You can always put a better pump in as well. I've had the reprogrammed Stewart pump sitting on my bench for a couple of months just because I haven't had the time to put it in but that will take care it!
I have the Fasterprom expansion tank but I rerouted the hoses. I have it from the expansion tank directly to the pump inlet and the outlet of the pump going to the inlet of the IC bricks first. The pump will not cavitate as long as you have fluid in the expansion tank.

Patrick4588 did you ever figure out why your pump started doing this? Mine just started doing what your describing. I'm getting a replacement under warranty then I'm getting the Cordes SW setup with here Heat Exchanger.
