'16 Z06/M7. Had oil & MRSC done 1 1/2 wks ago & tech found inside edges both frt. tires worn to cords. So 4 new MPSS (same as was on it) & force balanced at Discount Tires. So today went in for alignment to set up per DSC Street/Occasional Track (or as close as possible). Tech was very knowlegeable & had done some vettes. This is small town (13K) GM dealer. He sat down with me for 5 mins. before starting the job so I could show what I hoped to achieve & discuss setting caster also. Service Manager had ordered the 2 gauges needed for caster thru Global Connect link. He came back 15 mins. later to show me the GM recommended settings for all & how it compared to DSC-Great customer involvement keeping me up to date. Came back 1/2 hr. later to show before settings (what was on it ). As you can see, the right side Camber/Toe frt & rear were out of whack & previous tire inside wear was worse on right confirmed that! He came back when done to show after settings as shown. He wrote down the rear caster +0.7 both sides on paper. Tried to google changing DSC Toe setting in mm to degrees, but no luck, to see what the DSC Toe setting should correspond to in degrees on shop paperwork. Anyhow, to me it all looks very good now, especially right side after. This was an awesome, pleasant, eye opening experience to be treated with such concern for my input & the Tech coming out at least 3 times to inform me of his progress. Seldom do we get to praise our dealers (Kent Chevrolet-Mountain Home, Ar). I thanked the Tech several times, also praised his work to service Manager & returned in 1/2hr. (ATM visit) to personally give him a well earned tip. Great day! Now to get out there & push it, push it real good! PS: With tax it was only $83.66-Small towns are good mostly!!!

Sounds like an awesome experience. I know I should have mine realigned, I'm DREADING finding a dealership around me that knows what they are talking about and can do a proper alignment,
Just a reminder, if you've been on here awhile you have had a chance to read about folks having this dreaded inside edge/front tire wear to the cords (with pics) & even a few with same on rear. As many have advised & I'll add my 2C, getting an alignment right after taking delivery of your vette, regardless of model (Ray/GS/Z), it is very cheap insurance to TRY to prevent you from ruining 1 or more of these expensive tires. You will not feel a vibration, unless really off the wall settings, but will end up wearing tread unevenly to the point of replacement prematurely. I only had 12.5K miles on mine (yes I drive my Z very hard), the rears were ok with even wear but down to 3/32" so of course replaced all 4. Total for my alignment, $83.66!

Firestone usually has the good Hunter equipment and offers a lifetime alignment warranty package for $180. The one by my house just put in an in-ground one, now I don't have to worry about scraping

To adjust caster, which most track rats say very much affects cornering & even hard acceleration (keeping car straight), alignment needs special 2 gauges (one adapter & the actual digital readout gauge). I did do one very hard acceleration from stop, banging 2nd very hard, & it did not even wiggle, where before I had scared myself & had not done any more NLSs or banging 2nd. Just repeating what has been posted, not my limited knowledge base!
