Understand your frustration! What folks need to understand (has been pointed out number of times) Mike is basically a ONE-person show! Yes, he does have folks that work for him at TPCRACING and DSCSPORT, and he has agreements with any number of other businesses, but he is first and foremost a Porsche racer and is constantly on the road racing at the race venues around the country, and supports the Porsche racing hobbyist which is a large part of his business. He got into the controller business because he was VERY UNHAPPY with the handling/suspension of his own Corvette. And, he set out to figure out how he could improve those characteristics and that has evolved into other makes/models.

Oh I completely understand and know he is a very busy man. Never meant to insinuate different. I've read the story on why he got involved in designing a controller to better the C7 and know all about that. I'm very grateful he did and respect that. I've communicated with Mike through PM a lot. And I'm not as frustrated as some who NOW I know have been waiting longer than me. I'm just stating a fact that no one wants to have their CC charged $1300 and then have to wait 4 or more months to receive what they bought. I have not waited that long and am not complaining but I would like to know that I am going to receive one of the 200 pieces and that I will not be waiting 4 or more months. And I like Rob want the latest and greatest firmware and updates is why I ordered directly from DSC. I did know they were on Back order before I ordered but I was lead to believe I would get it within 3-6 weeks. So Like i said if I do receive it in 2 or 3 more weeks then that target was met and it's all good. Just curious how long did you wait to receive yours?

Have 2016 C7.R and live about 10 minute drive from Mike's shop so, I usually get any updates almost immediately. Used to drop by his shop couple of days a week but job location changed and it is rare I drop by. Had 2015 ZEE prior and was one of the first ones to have an updated controller.

BTW - Mike is out of town now doing testing so not sure when he will reply - plus he is trying to get one of his Porsche Cup cars back together after crashing at Road America believe it was - real hard crash and has new cage coming from Germany

And plus i don't want leftover stock that's been sitting on the shelf with an outdated version. Might as well get the new new one.
Please understand no body will have an outdated version all DSC for the C7 can be updated to the latest V3 firmware and strategy all there is no hardware change to effect the firmware performance.

ok, install probably took me about an hour? I took my time and there is not a whole lot of room there. It's hard to get the OEM controller out of the clips with one hand and it's hard to get two hands in there but I did and got it to pop out. I didn't want to take whole bracket out like Jeremy did in the video. Everything else on install is no problem at all.
I drove it right after I got it all buttoned up. I believe the 12 hour wait is just for the GM software upgrade. I could immediately tell a big difference in the ride in tour mode. Much smoother and takes the bumps a lot better. It was a short drive because I had so much other stuff to do so that's really all I can say about it now. May take a longer ride tomorrow if it doesn't storm here. It's 50% chance of thunderstorms.
And yes it's just plug and play.

so just need to replace the OEM controller without any software adjustments in the DSC right?
what should be the difference in Sport mode?

Yes the DSC controller just replaces the OEM controller and software is already loaded.
If you search the forum there are several threads on the improvements in all modes. I haven't had a chance to try all modes yet but all I've read is it's game changing as far as ride and traction.

Mike,

Looks like the last batch didn't cover all open/backordered orders (aka mine ). Any idea when you might be able to get caught up? Thanks!
