Default M7 Question

I’m a new owner of a ZO6 with manual transmission and I’ve noticed when you are accelerating pretty hard and let up on the gas it doesn’t instantly start slowing down but there is a bit of a lag from when you let up until she starts slowing down. Is that normal? I’ve driven lots of older manual transmissions but haven’t come across something like that before.
in fact the first few times I experienced it I instinctively went for the brake to try to slow it down. Something I just need to get the feel for?

It helps shifting when road racing. Try the no lift shift!

Perfectly normal. I think the gearing has a bit to do with it.
