How much are you into cosmetics, versus performance? Sure, we all have varying thresholds.

It was a fair question as it is obivious that it not a cosmetic issue. The hood would not close! What is your thrershold???? Just cut a hole in the hood?
You also missed the post above as well that someone posted the link that a different plate is avalilble so it doesn't stick up! Way to be on top of the subject before you post!

The install was ez and quick. Seems to run smoother an in my opinion I would not spend the money porting the LT4 TB because it will still be smaller than the ZR1 TB. As you can see some porting of the snout will be required if you really want to take advantage of it.
will be doing that next.

Great pics big bollas! Wonder if the factory rubber connector will fit over the bigger tb?

Wonder why the spacer isn't made to at least taper in enough to cover the seal?

MORE juvenile postings! Looks you are one who is kicking the cat again! Look at this thread nothing but poking at other members with your typical non-sense about like 95 percent of your posts. 2 posts both are nonsense, you just trash the threads with your garbage Try acting your age instead of your shoe size! .
All the while in your little world it is funny!
Mean while I'll finish putting on my 95mm Tb with the Halltech and see how it runs! Then add to the thread!

I am almost sure it would as it is more flexible than the silicone coupler in the Halltech kit.

Not sure it is better than the ported 87 on the 1.7. Esp with out a tune. I bought it for the 2300. I have one on now on My A8 1.7 with this and feels good down low but over 100 mph it was hard to say.
You would need to put them back to back on the dyno to see. On the 2300 with a tune no doubt this would be a nice increase. Just cannot say 100 percent with seeing it on the dyno.

3Z, quick question. When you changed to the 2300, did you get a rough idea of the size of the snout on the 2300 compared to the 1.7? If it is larger on the 2300, the gains will be proportionally greater.

Pretty sure it is larger but I didn't look at it real close. I'll find out when I get out of here. I left the car in Nebraska 2 months ago I have been there 3 times since December trying to get a property in shape.
Planning to go again.
But I have held here for 3 weeks waiting for a sale to close and it sucks. I figured out the A8 is not as much fun as the M7 having it to drive the A8 everyday.

This is a question I am curious about too. I don't know if you can order the 2300 already set up for the ZR1 TB or you have to use the adaptor. My understanding is the 2300 is available with snout porting for the stock ZO6 TB or a 100mm TB. It would be great if the 2300 becomes available with porting for the 95 mm TB and it is able to bolt up directly. Based on another forum members report on his 2300 purchase/ install and how difficult Magnuson was to contact let alone get questions he had answered I think I will use Weapon X and let Ben deal with them.

Where is everyone buying these TBs at? I am going to try to do a before and after once I get one and the adapter. Got to get all the parts together and arrange some dyno time. I will keep you posted on my results. I have the ported TB from Katech on right now so not quite a fair comparison. Also have other mods which may skew the results some. Any info that helps others is a good thing. Thanks for all the good info here.
