Default DSC Controller V3

Just Ordered DSC V3 controller from Katech, ( back ordered on DSC website), My car is 2016 Z07 Manual, I also have LG drop spindles installed on the car. Should i just follow the alignment settings provided by DSC ( link below)? , Please suggest if i need to do anything else.
I'm getting new Micheclin Supersport Tires as I well. My driving is mode is mostly street with occasional spirited driving. Also i need to figure out how to install the controller. Can dealer do correct alignment settings, I hate to go to the dealership

https://www.dscsport.com/downloads/s...-alignment.pdf

Existing MODS:
Hookers Shorty Headers
Akrapovic Full Exhaust
LG Drop Spindles
Katech ported throttle body
MGW SHort Shifter
DSC Controller ( in the works)

Future Mods :
GSpeed Cooling if i plan to track ( hopefully i will not need it in SF Bay area ( lagunaSeca)
Wing ( mostly for looks : )

where do you live? Dealer probably wont have the tool. Your location will cause someone to suggest a capable shop

Let me know how the ride feels after putting in that controller. I have the Z07 car as well and I haven't seen a lot of people with the Z07 package comment on the difference in ride quality. Let me know what your impression of it is.

What tool? You can put in the Controller yourself in about 20 minutes the first time.

Sure will keep the forum updated on the feedback. I think there are some other forum members here who have it installed on their Z07 , may be they can chime in give us their opinion on DSC.

Take it to Abel Chevy in Rio Vista, they took care of my DSC alignment. Rich and Derrick that run the dealer both race corvettes and know there stuff. The only shop I’d let touch my car, alignment or not.

I have DSC controller and LG drop spindles on my 2016 Z07. I would seriously recommend installing ProTekt front splitter protector. Originally car was dropped on stock lowering bolts and Cup 2 tires. The ride was pretty stout to say the least. Adding the DSC was a definite ride improvement, then swapping the Cup2's for MPSS tires was even more improvement. It is still quite firm but with the DSC and some experimenting you can dial in whatever makes you comfortable. One word of caution though! When I installed the MPSS tires I had them installed on some Strasse Deep Concave wheels which had more offset than the stock wheels. Lowering the car too much causes slight rubbing occasionally on the outside of the tire in the rear when I hit a pretty good dip in the road at slightly higher speeds. I'm pretty sure with the stock offset wheels it won't be a problem.

come on man, i like and agree with your posts, and you are still trying to pick fights 24 7... the OP asks if he should just use their alignment specs (dsc) and if a dealer can do it.

You know exactly what im talking about, and you try to twist things non stop. Rear caster/camber alignment tool that most dealers dont have.

I want you to stop it, we are not your enemies, you are your own worst enemy because you are always looking to fight everyone over nothing.

What would have been cool is if you elaborated and informed the OP what i was speaking about, and made yourself look intelligent and useful to him, instead of this lame game you always play.

I had Abel do my DSC Alignment I feel my suspension is too soft with the DSC controller in everything but track mode so I will be working with modifying some of the settings to firm up the feel. Eco/tour are too plush, sport feels just right until I want to drive “sporty” and track feels good all the time but the exhaust flaps don’t close in track while cruising so you get that extra noise when you are just wanting to cruise.

Are you planning to do the DSC specs for the Street/Occasional track setting with the cambers for the front and rear set at -1.2?

the nice thing about the dsc is you can set up virtual blocks to keep the car from bottoming out or tires rubbing the inner fender. You are all set once you learn how the program works

We have had poor experience with the virtual blocks, and the overall damping of the DSC is too soft once you migrate past the occasional track day.

Those alignment specs are fine, but again, once you move past the occasional track day, you need to set it up for your car and driving.

On another note, why do you guys keep lowering these cars? It's already low enough considering how soft the spring rates are, and it also interferes with cooling performance per Tadge. "The looks" is not the answer I'm looking for : ))

I agree if you look at the ZR1 with the track package it sits higher than the other non track low wing car. Because the car needs the shock travel I just leave it alone and the car settles down some and is just right.
