I'm not sure what the dilemma is....if you are going with the LG outboard intercoolers all you need is a bigger radiator and an EOC. DeWitts can custom build just about anything, and we could build a huge eoc to go in this chin mount area. The coolers I am using here are "stack plate" type, and they have no end tanks. In order to get the fittings on the end as you mention I would have to install a baffle and turn the cooler into a uflow or as some call a two pass. This would make it almost impossible to get to the front facing port

Example

I'm starting to wonder if you and I are the only ones reading this post?

^ Same, can’t wait to see price point. I really want one of these. Looking forward to updates I’m in Texas and it’s about to get HOT.

I, and hopefully many others, are following your progress on this Tom. I think your approach with the dual coolers in this location is a genius idea with the added benefit of not having to take the front fascia off to install. I would most likely go with your TOC/Aux engine coolant set up with the larger Dewitts radiator for my '17 Z06 A8. Thanks for sharing your design, technical explanations, and being open to feedback. Much appreciated.

I am interested in your EC/TOC combo for my 15 ZO6 auto. I have a Ron Francis radiator.

I'm in but unsure as to what I need - 15 z07 A8. EOC/TOC.... and... a bigger rad/EC to replace my stock one? Does that get me all the way? :p

Ditto. Reading and following closely. I used one of your radiators on my C6 Z and it was fantastic. Once its all put together, I will be a buyer. Any issues running your heat exchanger, radiator, EOC and Aux radiator all together with each other from a fitment standpoint (M7 car)

Thanks Tom for the work you have put into this project. I am not concerned with trans temp on my 16 A8 since I will not be road racing the car. The only racing I will be doing is drag racing. Some time ago I installed a Cordes intercooler HE, a 160 tstat & Fasterproms intercooler tank to help with blower temps. I did not go with you're larger radiator at the time (would have been more cost effective) because of some people here that had concerns about air pressure drop across the larger HE & radiator. Apparently these concerns have proved groundless. So I am assuming all I would need to complete the cooling mod upgrade for street & occasional drag strip use is the larger radiator.

Tom, your racing radiator should show up at my door any day. I didn't realize we have the same car 2016 Z06 A8, so whatever works for you will work for me. Is there any reason I should wait to install the racing radiator until I get the rest of the parts when you finish the design?

Tom, I, too, have been following your progress with the hope of adding the TOC/EC option. In reading some of the latest posts, I have started to wonder about fitment. I see how close the tolerances are for the manifold piping and having an aftermarket heat exchanger(Cordes), have wondered if the extra thickness of the core will leave enough room.

None at all, in fact I've been saying for a while the solution is not going to be one item. It's all of them. The EOC will eliminate the EOT faults but it add more engine cooling but removing this load from the system. But that alone is not going to be enough for the coolant faults. You will need a bigger radiator. Since GM has come out with the thicker 35mm that might be enough with the EOC kit. Then you have the DeWitts 57mm and both these do not require any cutting. The 70mm DeWitts does require about 1/2" trim off the face of the whole fan shroud so if you don't want to do that the first two are the only option.

It should be okay. I have no experience with the Cordes but it looks to be the same thickness (2.25") as the DeWitts. Very close, but not a problem

Not really, the radiator install is mostly done from the top and doesn't involve the chin components. As I said above, if it is the race 70mm (1149114M) model, you will have to trim the face of the fan and chop off the upper brace. I wish I had better instructions to send you but here is a marked up image of what it should look like

That should be doable. I'm going to try to get to it this weekend.
