The best way to store them is to drive them. I used to live about 70 miles south of you and know you can get some great snow storms (drove through them a number of times getting to and from the airport) but I also know the roads are usually clear at least once per month. Even during the hardest winters I only waited 60 days between drives. That is often enough you don't need to consider winter storage. When I drove the car I would always put at least 40 miles on it to make sure the drive train and exhaust got good and hot before parking in the garage. Taking the Vette out on a star lit below zero evening and just enjoying the ride is a great winter pick me up.

I agree. Back in the day when i first started buying "weekend toys", i would do everything i can do preserve it. I would even not take it out when it's drizzling. My dad (RIP) would always tell me, "it's just a car, drive it, it won't melt". And i would get offended. I would think to myself i work very hard for this car, i want to make it last as long as possible. I would even tell myself, i'm never selling this car, i'm keeping it until i die.
I said that to maybe the first 3-4 toys i bought. BUt after a couple of years i would get bored and get another toy. Then say the same thing. I love this car, i won't ever sell it, this is my baby and i'm keeping it until i die.
The fact is, very very rare do us car owners keep a car for 10 years or more.
A car like the C7Z, while it's amazing and i am the victim of once again treating the car like it's gold when i first got it that now i'm thinking, it's just a car. Just like my dad said back in the day. Just use it like a regular car, still care for it but use it and get the most out of it. Because one day you'll get bored of it and want a different toy.
Well my dad was right. I love my Z and i had it 2.5 years now. And i can't wait to upgrade.
As far as winter storage. I never drove my Z in snow. But when the road clears, you can be sure i'm taking the car out. Even for a 10 minute drive.
The car won't melt, or implode with a 10 minute drive during winter.
