Really surprised at the overwhelming votes for Borla. Was leaning toward Corsa before this thread...

Corsa all the way baby! LOL

Then again, I have Corsa X with Corsa extreme mufflers.. the cold start can wake up the dead. I have a Z, I want it to scream when getting on it and I love the exotic-esque sound.. I had a Camaro SS before and with muscle cars, the deep tone does suit it more. The Z is a true sports car, it should sound exotic vs muslce-esque.

At the end of the day, can't go wrong with both options.. I just know I wanted the loudess sound without tampering with my cats, headers.

How much TQ/HP are they worth, or just for sound?

I had the Corsa and after one trip to the track (lost et & mph) I went back to stock to regain the performance that I lost. But Hey, it sounded good.

So was I.

I had a borla axleback on my C6 and that sounded amazing. When i got my C7Z, i wanted to try out a corsa product.

But after reading that the borla was lighter, cheaper in a way, easier install and provided more power (even though it's not SOTP), i went with that. After watching video after video after video of z06's with all kinds of exhaust mods, xpipes etc, i still bought the borla.

After getting it installed, videos do not do justice the great sound it makes. It sounds A LOT better in person, obviously. As i would think corsa would sound better in person too.

But like someone said, corsa makes an exotic sound, almost like a ringing if that makes sense. And borla creates a more "raw" stock sounding. It will still sound like a Z that's stock, only louder and more "raw", as if you're putting long tubes on an LS or something.

That's the impression i get when i installed mine. I can only imagine how loud our cars would be with actual long tubes. I think my Z now is louder with just an xpipe than my C6 was with long tubes, no cats and a borla exhaust.

It's the one I linked to in that same post. The company is Linesracing out of California. It's a high quality 304 Stainless Steel pipe and the sound is absolutely phenomenal in person.

I have the magnaflow exhaust and borla x-pipe and am changing it to a full corsa system to try out a different thing, im experimenting with the exhaust, even deleted my main cats for a while but that was too much with the exhaust. Im probably going to Anaheim to change them on saturday, let me know if you are intrested. btw my mufflers and the xpipe have a really sexy pop when you down shift, just sayin

Is it really that shiny? Almost looks like chrome. Looks like it has cats?

Not sure what they used for that pic, but it's definitely 304 stainless steel and not shiny chrome in person.

No one has tried the Billy Boat x pipe? Iím thinking (hoping) it would sound similar to the Borla due to the single crossover design, which is what I want. However, if Corsa is my only choice now, thatís what Iíll try. I love the stock sound and just want it a little louder but donít want the tone changed, like people say the Corsa does...higher pitch, losing power etc. is that due to the double crossover maybe? If itís even correct.
