Default Z07 Carbon Fiber Front Splitter

I'm negotiating with a dealer on a low mileage 2017 Z07 that has a crack on the underside of the front Carbon Fiber Splitter. Has anyone replaced one of these? What should I expect to pay to purchase one to replace myself? I see some prices of $1,800 for GM replacement part but other companies sell theirs for $800.00.

Are there ones with better fitment and matching?

Thanks in advance!

Our C7 Stingray Front Splitter fits all C7's. These are exact copies of the Z06 OEM parts. All carbon parts are made using a marine gel coating with UV protection and then clear coated and polished using an automotive cleaner that also has UV protection. This prevents the carbon from discolouring. The kit comes with all the necessary hardware and instructions.

You should ask them to change it before you buy the car, im sure the dealer will get a better price if its coming out of their pockets. I would make sure they know that it would be a deal breaker if they dont change it, thats what I would do

Unfortunately, I tried that. They won't budge. It's a great deal and they are saying they won't change it or even give me $500 towards a new one. Deal is at rock bottom according to them with no fat left on the bone. They are saying they will sell the car at the Manheim auction for the price they are offering to me so they won't lower the price.

I feel that might be BS but if you feel like the current price of the car + $2k for oem front splitter online deal ( $1750 splitter and $250 for shipping) is a good deal then you should go for it, if not then you should move on IMO because I love my stock CF splitter and would not change it with an aftermarket one

P.S aftermarket part might not match the GM CF weave

The matching part was my worry. I may still pull the trigger and just go for it. I'll worry about a new splitter down the road.

C7 carbon looks great and the parts aren’t right next to each other making it a little less important and they are like $700 I think??

Crack on the “underside”...provide more details. Is it visible, is it likely to propagate, only cosmetic, etc..you get the point.

All Z07 splitters are carbon fiber, some have the exposed weave that you pay additonal for, others are just painted carbon chop. If it is the later, and the damage isn’t great perhaps repair is possible.

Exposed Carbon Fiber Weave Package (Splitter and Side Skirts). If you are down on the ground and feel it you can see a 1" hole of missing Carbon Fiber from hitting a curb or something low. No damage underside of car so I can only assume it was while parking and not running over something the length of the car. You would never see it unless you got down on the ground (Which I obviously did checking over the car 100% before negotiating.

It's a splitter on a used car... that you have to get on the ground and feel for? Seems like a non issue - and no way in hell the dealer would spend a dime on that.

If you have to be on the ground to see it I wouldn't worry about it. However, I would add the ProTekt guards to protect the splitter from further damage.

Tell them you will buy the spoiler from their parts department, that should eliminate shipping costs to you, and they put it on at no cost. Win, win. Good luck!
