On that tour of Johnson Controls battery plant I asked about warranty times. I was told they give the same warranty for the same product class and some of their distributors extend it as a form of buying insurance.

Question for those using other than non oem batteries. Will the factory Corvette trickle charger work OK with your choice of battery? Sure nice to be able to plug trickle charger into that rear hatch DC power outlet for charging.

Yep, I use the same standard battery setting on my GM equivalent charger with my 20% more capacity Diehard AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) battery. My equivalent charger is made by the same company does have a setting for Gel Cell batteries (which the GM logo charger does not) BUT an AMG battery is not a Gel Cell. No issue.

There is nothing special about the OEM battery other than it's not the best higher capacity lead acid battery you can buy in the aftermarket.
