I wonder if anyone has put c7z06 wheels on their c7zr1 with the big wing?
or a custom saw blade style ala c4zr1 style in sizes / offsets for the c7z and c7zr. That may go well with the angles and obtuse proportions of the c7. It would enhance the back to the future delorean look of the c7 especially the zr1 with the big wing. Then a forum vendor needs to build a jigowatts adapter for the 1.7 supercharger that kicks in at 80 mph when the 1.7 peters out.

The zr1 wheels are roll forged barrels. So they are stronger than the z06 an grand sport wheels. The one perk to the zr1 wheels is, most wheel and tire insurance contracts mandate that you use GM factory wheels intended for the vehicle. Long story short, I have seen situations where people who bought the wheel and tire insurance have had luck getting their wheel and tire insurance companies to add the zr1 wheel to the covered wheel list on their z06 or grand sport. So if you are annoyed with having to go to the dealer for bent rims, but you still know they will eventually bend and need the insurance... well then the zr1 wheel is a great way to go. I have no idea how much extra they weigh. Careful that the ones being weighed are not just reproductions that are obviously heavier.

If you switch the wheels the Z06 would not be COMPLETELY FACTORY ORIGINAL STOCK and that's a BIG NO NO FOR ME!!!!

I think ZR1 wheels are about 30 lbs, a few lbs heavier than Z06 wheels, which is a bit weird since flow-formed wheels could be made stronger-yet-lighter.
Anyhow, I almost got a set, but the weight has dissuaded me.

Did you add spacers on the rear wheels? They look like they stick out a bit more than stock. I understand, if you were trying to keep it even looking with the front wheels, which are wider. If a spacer, what size? If wider rear wheel, what size? Thanks, looks great.
If my car, I would add the ACS front wider fender flares to keep those front wheels from throwing rocks and dirt everywhere, and maybe even their XL lower rock guard / mudflaps.

Jbagger, Curious how much you paid for your CAST OE ZR1 Wheels in ??? Size
These are FORGED Aftermarket Wheels I recently received ........... I paid $3200 last Black Friday (including shipping)
I DO NOT have them on my 12' Inferno Orange Grand Sport Yet...Blue ZR1 below is NOT my car...but same SV701 Wheels
My intent here is to demonstrate to members that they do have choices other than heavy cast OE wheels that Chev/GM
gouges you on pricing

I purchased OEM Rotary Forged ZR1 chrome wheels in the stock sizes for $1800 including shipping. Not to be confused with real forged wheels... so I'm told.

tome, Your "FORGED" Wheels are actually ROTARY Forged or FLOW Forged Wheels (ala FORGESTAR)
Most people here evidently dont care or dont know, but REAL Forged Wheels like HRE, Forgeline,
BC Forge, Signature are lighter, stronger and often times considered my Wheel Buffs to be more attractive.
