Know fact from dealer owner CTSV’s, Camaro’s and corvettes with wide wheels are being bent in shipment. How many pot holes do you see down south? I had 3 bent wheels how did right rear wheel escape not being bent. If I had hit something hard enough to bend three wheels I would know it. Mfg for wheels moved from Italy to Mexico for quality reasons mine have Ronal stamped inside along with GM part number.

I like other wheels better but for price I’ll take ZR1’s I’m not paying a boat load to correct another GM problem my 16 Z06 has the old intake that they were going to take care of us well we must to have fell off the planet no fix just suck it up and buy a later model that with the fix. This was suppose to be my last Corvette, I’m 75 moms tired of car notes had 32 of these suckers ever had to lay out my own money to fix a GM problem before. New management sucks

I remember back in my C6 days, people were trying to make a front bumper to make their C6 look like the C7 front lol
Now we're seeing ZR1 style rear wings for the z06 where you have to hack the rear to mount it?? The ZR1 front bumper i can understand a bit but even then, that just screams poser lol.
If you want the higher end model bits and pieces, get that higher end model lol.

Track People have been adding big wings to the back of the C7 ever since they were introduced back in 2013. The ZR1 wing provides a factory designed wing that mounts properly to the structure of the car Vs some of the really bad mounting points I have seen over the years. It isn't about being a poser it is about getting around the track faster than the other guy. Posers are the guys who add so called go fast items/modifications to their cars to make them look like and sound like a race car and never take them to the track or hold the loud pedal to the floor for more than 5 seconds.

Why haven't you installed a ZR1 wing to your Z?

Bill probably has not added the wing because he is happy with the balance as is. If he adds a wing, he has to go more crazy with front splitters and dive planes to balance out the wing. As of right now, there are no good dive planes on the market for our cars, that look and work well. I don't think zr1 with the big wing are balanced to be honest. They need more front end downforce. I think GM tried to solve this by putting the wider front wheel to add grip, as Warp also just mentioned above.. but i still don't think a wide wheel alone is what the car needs. I am amazed the zl1 1le camaro has dive planes, and the zr1 did not have them as an option.. but it has a wing the size of texas on the back.
I think the camaro with the zr1 lt5 engine, would beat the zr1 around a track, no questions asked. Those who curve at high speed, We need dive planes for our cars.

It's hard to cut a $100K car and add a wing, that will cost you $2.5K for the wing, and another $20K for the drop in car's value. You can add a better splitter and extra canards to easily support the rear wing. A stiffer rear spring would also help reduce impact of any imbalance. Viper's rear spring rate, for instance, jumps from TA's 600 to ACR-X's 1600 #/in springs at rear; simply mind boggling.
