This was friday night at Baytown 2018 m8 with new dsc installed with original settings. Of course with other mods as well, got me into 9’s on second pass.

What mods? Which tires?

Nice pass to get in the 9s in crappy air.

Nice! Definitely has more in it in good air.

Who built/tuned it? I’d definitely think should go 142-143 mph at least in good air. Did you log it at the track?

Mike Whitehouse @ G force performance Pearland Texas. I will take it back to the track when good air comes back to Texas. Excuse the ignorance but what do you mean log it at track?

I meant to scan/datalog the car using HP Tuners.... then you can tell if it was pulling timing or not going down the track. (Among other things). Mike owned a C7Z for a couple of years so, I assume he’s pretty good on them. Judging by your 60’, I question if the throttle body is going 100% open out of the hole....unless it was spinning or something.

Are you running meth on it?

Cooler air in the winter will be a big help too.

No meth, I think I was spinning between 1 and second shift, I had 28 psi in tires also. I will try 25 or lower on next time.

What kind of power did it make on Mike’s dyno?

Yep, pretty good numbers. Right on par where it should be for the mods. Just need to get it all dialed in and see how fast it’ll go.

Pardon my lack of terminology, I think I am referring to the TCM box mounted under the rear bumper. Perhaps I got it wrong. Heck I could not tell you what a stage 3 cam means. I am old, cams used to be referred with lift, duration, so I have no idea how to measure what I have.

It supposed to improve shifts like a old school shift kit in a turbo 350. However it is far from it what I remember. It does seem to respond a little faster with the paddles now also.

Oh nice! Hmm. Who sells it? These A8s can be fickle man. Sometimes it shifts smooth and quick... other times seems to hold the gear instead of shifting...but its also probably the TC...
