I just ordered a 2019 z06 coupe. Got 13% off the $98,345 sticker. Felt that was best I could find. How many has put the c.a.g.s. by pass on?
I have a total of 312 miles on my '19Z. I thought I was going to install the CAGS bypass. But as others have stated, it is not needed. I have babied the car on many occasions and still have yet to have the CAGS engage.
I sold a 2016 Z06 and could afford anything south of $200K. I wanted a 2019 Z06 and nothing else. There is no better value for dollar on the planet, period. Especially true if you're going to track this car. Nothing is more affordable from a consumable perspective and more capable at under $79K. And yes, 15% off MSRP made it stupid-easy.
The most annoying part of CAGS is the when it pops up on your instrument cluster, taking over the majority of the screen. Usually, even if the 1-4 shift message is displaying, by the time I shift out of first I'm outside the CAGS window and it doesn't force me into 4th anyways. Unfortunately, the CAGS bypass does not prevent the dash from displaying the large message, it just prevents the solenoid from forcing you into 4th. If there is a CAGS bypass that stops the message entirely, I would probably buy it.
I got 10% off my 2019 Z06 a year ago 13% is a good deal. As for CAGS never a need for it as I never shift that at low speed/rpm and if the indicator comes on just give it a bit more gas.
OP: Can you give details of the aero package level you purchased with 13% off? Might have an opportunity to slide into a ‘19 2LZ w/Stage II aero. Original MSRP around $97K, dealer has it listed at $87K. Or thinking about a ‘19 2LZ w/Stage I at $76K.
