I hate to break it to you, this is how the C7 will be remembered
#181
I like all C body corvette's. Why do you Corvette owners start ditching other corvette owners cars? I will never say anything bad about any corvette! I LUV American made Muscle Cars!
I try to skip these types of threads and read on what people are doing with their cars because I learn from you guys. But these threads are one reason I don't get together with other vette owners because your all just a bunch egotistical haters!

I had a C6 before so obviously it was good enough for me to actually own it. But i moved on to the C7, because it's just better. Are the C6's still good cars? Of course, because everyone has their own perception, opinion and experience on what they consider better, to own etc.
But would i ever own a C6 again? Hell no, because i like new cars. I don't like old cars, i don't wanna own old cars. Life is too short to be fiddling around with old cars. I like new, all the time. That's why i'm going bananas for the C8. Becuase it's going to be a new corvette, a mid engine and a DCT. Finally. Why wouldn't i be excited? Everything about the C8 is new, everything. We should all be jumping up for joy. But instead we're prematurely nitpicking and criticizing it. lol @ that.
Btw, i used to attend corvette meets. Back when i had my C6 and shortly after i got my C7Z. It was the most boring meet i ever went to. My GF at the time even made a comment, "Babe, why do you like hanging out with old guys?"
And i told her, "i didn't know all of them would be this old!"
Mind you, a lot of corvette owners are pretty cool in person, but it's the online grumpiness that puzzles me. But i stopped going to actual corvette specific meets, only because they are far too boring. A lot of the meets don't involve racing or even driving. It's just a gathering at a parking lot and literally all of them pull out a chair and sit in front of their cars. If i wanted to go to a place where i see a bunch of stock corvettes that don't move, i'll go to my local chevy dealer.
These cars are performance cars. Go out there on the road, do some highway pulls, play a little, have fun. Nope not most corvette owners lol.
And because i that, i actually unfriended myself from my local corvette car group on facebook. It was soo boring lol

Thank god for the local Vette club. I just love how you characterize Corvette owners as a bunch of boring fat guys. Keep trollling on......................
#183
I said old guys not fat. Nothing wrong with being fat. Except when the fat is in your gut lmao.
Btw when are you putting me on ignore? You keep saying you would but instead you keep following me in threads lol. Guess you wanna read what I have to say afterall lol

RobGZ06....regarding the last sentence in your post #182....."I actually unfriended myself from my local corvette car group on facebook. It was soo boring lol"
....do you think they miss you? Yep, sitting around with that Facebook crowd can be a real drag with those lawn chairs in front of the P/C monitor looking at Corvettes.
You've made quite a few borderline nasty comments (you defend them by saying how upfront and honest you are) throughout this long post about many of us older guys. In your jaded opinion, the older crowd are not near as cool or open minded as you, a mid/late thirties bachelor who knows everything about Corvettes and life, is with hot women all the time, who got a vasectomy so he didn't have to worry about having children with any of those hot chicks he's hosting....and who lives in a town house or apartment, with no garage. I really hope you will enjoy that new C8 that you have repeatedly raved about and have never seen or driven, yet....I'm sure it will be great, though, but all of us will find out soon enough, probably well after you. Most of us old timers don't move near as quickly as you hot blooded younger guys rolling in cash....what was your job, again, with all those deep pockets of yours? And thinking of you, maybe you can rent a garage nearby so your new C8 will be safe.
You have a huge amount of confidence, or could it be arrogance and keyboard *****, Mr. RobGZ06? Maybe all those older Corvette guys you have supposedly met in person, were nice to you because your ***** shrunk a little bit and you were nice to them in person and not quite as arrogant in those discussions as you are with the keyboard.
Anyway, can't wait to see your C8 review, I'm certain it will be outstanding, a regular Pulitzer Prize document. And don't change anything, hot shot, your life will be splendid.

Like I said Rob, please get on line for one of the first C8's and be our test dummy. At your age you should have better things to do then insult a bunch of really great people that love Corvettes.

My c4 from over 20 years ago. Would drive 2hrs each way to the track and click off 9s. Removed the pass seat to have enough room for the slicks and jack. I got no problem remembering the c4 like this...

that's a testament that you know how to mod a car John... to get a c4 to run 9's and lift wheels took a lot of work and a lot of money
There's probably less than 15 c4's on earth that can do that, and that includes the ones with the fake shell body's on top of a racecar funny car frame

402ci LT1 with AFR 220cc heads, Cam Motion low lash solid roller, Accel DFI, TPIS mini-ram running a conventional distributor in the back. I learned a lot about making the 700r4 (4l60) live to make a 100 passes or so at that level. 2 weeks after I built and installed my 400 block-based 434 with Track 1 heads, I totaled it on the street. And so I got a 99 FRC and by the time it was 6 months old it had a 408 and and 4l60e conversion...

Here is how i remember old Corvettes, i count the zero's behind the last auction price:
5 most expensive Corvettes (to date)
It's kinda funny as folks dream of the new Corviero as a ME Ferrari-available-at-Dollar-Tree-Store-prices; the truly big bucks Ferraris rolling past the auction hammer are FRONT ENGINE Ferraris. The truly Big Bucks Carroll Shelby creations rolling past the auction hammer are FRONT ENGINE Shelby 427 Cobras.
Great minds think alike.
