I hate to break it to you, this is how the C7 will be remembered

I had to laugh at the responses to the OP's post. He stated an opinion and then the internet trolls pile on with personal comments.
Their are 9000 or so unsold C7's on the market right now and a number of recall notices out for the car. The discounts being offered are getting ridiculous and the cars still sit on the lots. A local dealer made me an offer on my 2011 GS to trade on a 2018 C7 and the difference in the money they wanted wasn't that great considering the C7 GS was 8 years newer with no miles on it. He told me they could sell a C6 immediately because they have a waiting list of potential owners.
The C7 has a reputation for problems and all one has to do is read the endless reviews online.Car and Driver's first review of the C7 deemed it "very fun to drive, very capable, but unreliable".
Let's not even talk about the huge problem with the wheels and not covered by warranty.

Overall, Car and Driver's assessment of "its mid-engine replacement C8 can't come soon enough." could be the epitaph on the legacy of the C7.

The real issue with bent wheels is not a defect in the car, it is a defect in our roads. Our roads are getting worse and worse. No car with low profile tires will do well with pot holes and I have spent a small fortune on wheels over the years. I now get the insurance and that solves the issue....that and basically driving like I am on an obstacle course to avoid pot holes. I know McRider probably bent some wheels, but he blames that on the car and that is like blaming the beach for a sun burn. Low profile tires help cars handle great, but they don't handle pot holes and that is true if you drive a Toyota 86 or a Bugatti Veyron. It is simple psychics.

There was nothing wrong with the cars you own. Hell the First ZR1s were amazing cars in their day, as is the new ZR1 today. The only version of the C4 that was bad was the 1984. It was a new platform and the bugs had not been worked out well at all. But like all generations they got better and better and by the time they got to your years they were at the top of their game. Enjoy the girls and treat them well.

The C4 was a great car for it's time. I liked my '85 Z51 4+3.
A number of recalls .... Huh?
Seeing discounts at the end of a model run is very common. Were C6s going for MSRP after the C7 was announced?
Huh? I get it, you have a C6 and you don't want to pay the upgrade tax.

Kind of stupid of people to say this how something will be remembered compared to something today. What I remember of the C4, especially the ZR1 was that it was sleek, had 400+ hp, and was King of the Hill until the 02' C5 Z06 came out....and they were about tied in performance.

Oh and by the way I owned a 1984 C4....I have actually owned at least one of every generation. The 1984 came a a bit of a surprise as I had bid on an auction for a garage full of Municipal surplus. There was a nice welder sitting right out in the open so I bid on the lot and won it for $500.00. The auction said you had to take everything so I brought a dumpster for the junk. That cost me another $300. As I rummaged through the junk I saw there was a car under a bunch of empty boxes. as I cleared them off it turned out to be a 1984 Corvette that the police had confiscated from a drug dealer. It was in fairly rough shape but I fixed it up and drove it for a while then sold it. It did handle well but there is a reason I was so familiar with the flooding and bad dash module.

I hate to break it to you but when the new revolutionary Ferrari like C8 is released, this is the model of vette that C7's will most likely remembered and compared against in about 2 years, some folks probably won't even know the difference between the two models (C4 & C7) once the C8 hits the streets:

I stated fact. It's apparent you don't know much about the C7 and the recalls. I CHOSE not to buy a C7, I think they are butt ugly cars compared to the C6's, C3's and C2's. One hell of a lot of stolen design ideas from other cars, all european.

I have fond memories of my C3 and C4 Corvettes.
Let's be real the C3 was nothing short of a dog at the end of it's run. But still a great looking car. I got compliments on mine everywhere I went.
The C4 brought the Corvette into the 80's with a bang. Everyone drooled over those cars back then, myself included. Anyone who says different is a liar. I owned a C4 (1990 Roadster) and so did a bunch of my friends and they were rockstars; the cars not the owners.
My C7 is the same. Turns heads everywhere I go. Got lost on the way to a restaurant yesterday and ended up turning around in a dead-end street with a construction crew and every single dude stopped and gawked and pointed and many thumbs up.
The C7 will have no shame historically.
Onward and upward. Maybe I will be lucky enough to own a 4th C8 Vette.
OP is either blatantly trolling or delusional.

You own what is probably the worst looking modern Corvette. You didn't answer my question, were C6s selling for MSRP after the C7 was announced?

All my exotic driving friends give me a hard time for having Corvettes but it's completely irrelevant when I look at my rearview mirrors and catch every landscape worker in my neighborhood still looking as I cruise away, lol.

As much as I loved my C5 Z06 if I could have I would have kept it with my new 19 Z06. I have had a lot of friends say to me no disrespect to my C5 Z06. They thought it looked good. But they said my 19 Z06 makes a statement. It just draws you into the car. When people see it there just drooling over it.
