Default When will I pay?

I realize I could ask my dealer but he probably thinks I'm a doofus already so here goes. I've ordered a car from factory through an out of state dealer & they are doing a courtesy delivery to local hometown dealer. So when do I pay & who? Someone who has done this (COURTESY DELIVERY) please give the straight skinny. Thanks!

Those are questions to ask of the selling dealer...

You dont know who you are financing through?

My guess is you are doing paperwork either via e-sign or fedex... the payment date and amount will be on there.

If you havent signed anything yet, you dont owe anybody anything yet. Generally its 30-45 days after you sign the paperwork.

Financing locally. Just trying to get an idea of do I pay when car is built, shipped, arrives at my courtesy dealer, etc.Would hope to get a look at it (inspect for damages) before paying for it. Again thanks for bearing with me.

You will be paying the selling dealer, NOT the courtesy dealer. This means you pay for car sight unseen. Best to spend the airfare and hotel and drive it back, that way, there is are no issues.

I'm doing the same thing. They told me when the car ships, they will fedex me the paperwork to get that started and the payment would go to the selling dealer. Not 100% sure yet if I'm paying the local dealer out of pocket for local TTL/Delivery or if that's getting rolled in somehow.

He said he has had some folks hold off on completing paperwork and payment until after the car arrives, but that just means the car will be waiting at the local dealer a few more days while everything is processed. Up to you if it's worth that or not.

Thanks ninjabum . My salesman called last night to tell me order was picked up by GM. My courtesy delivery dealer will be directly paid by me for doing the PDI/install of aero, etc.

Absolutely go pick up the car if at all possible.

When I went to my local dealer to pick mine up; call said car is "ready to go" -- when I got there the front splitter wasn't put on and they could only find one of the side skirts. Took me a couple hours to finally sign the paperwork.
