Default Temps

What are some operating coolant temps everyone is seeing. I am new to Corvette. I put a novi bra on the front. What is to high of a temp, what is the desired temp. I live in a Florida, so today is mid 90s and high humidity. Thanks for your comments.

Just putt putting around town or on a road trip you shouldn't have any problems. Coolant temp doesn't get to over heat level until temp is 262 degrees and the oil temp doesn't hit over temp until 320 degrees. I just made a trip with my 15 Z06 M7 with secondary radiator added (standard on all 17+ M7s) with ambient temps in the high 80s and the on highway coolant temp at 75 mph was 190 degrees and the oil temp was 188. They both varied up and down from those numbers by about 2 degrees during the the three hours I was on the road.

On track I typically see coolant temps running in the mid 220s and oil temps running in the mid 270s. That is in ambient temps that go into the low 90s. Those two temps are just fine with lots of long duration Wide Open Throttle operation over a period of 15 to 20 minutes.

In the summer during 90-100 degree temperatures mine fluctuates from 200-225 depending on how I’m driving.

Y'all need some lower tstats. 170 works well with stock tune. Youre losing power with coolant above 194.

Mid 220s street driving ? Jeeeeez.

My Z is brand new, less than 1k miles on it, so I'm going to wait until it's broken in a bit more and "loosens up" before consider any changes.

I have a 160 tstat, but my coolant temps are always 200-218. Upstate NY summer weather range from mid 70s to 90s with higher humidity. how can i drop my temps? Cars tuned, fans are running but not seeing temps drop below 200s.

Update - temps did great on the power tour with the novi bra. Temps ranged from 190 to 205 on the entire trip. Sitting in traffic it would run 205. Cruising in mornings when outside temps were in lo 70’s it was running at 190. Ran a 12.17 in the qtr also, had a blast on the tour, if you haven’t done it, add it to your bucket list.

The kits haven't been out long enough. We have a few guys testing them soon at the track. With an A8, replacing the front trans cooler with a trans/radiator combo is a no brainer as long as the trans stays cold enough. With the m7, we aren't sure yet. It should be better but there hasn't been any testing done yet.

I have a 16Z m7, It has a 2300 maggy, kooks,5% lower pulley, AFE cai, tuned. I run the stock stat, and x tank. My highway temps are between 181-188, in town traffic up to 197. Oil temps are in the 180-195 highway and a high of 201 oil temps in town. Recently I ran Las Vegas to Orange County ca in 100+ outside temps at 90-110 mph and my temp never got over 188-190. I don’t seem to have the issues some of you are having and I don’t know why. Lucky I guess

17 Z06 in South Florida. My temps are usually about 185-190 with normal driving. I'm the second owner and I wonder if the previous owner put a thermostat in the car because I've never seen 200 in my car even driving it hard. But I read on here people commonly see 210+.
