Ralph is a decent driver from what I have seen. I've heard that he runs with Chin quite often.

If that didn't seem like much traffic to you I think you're really going to enjoy the September event because I am guessing you will get some truly clean laps with fewer slow cars clogging up the track. 2 flat is definitely in the cards for you. Good luck and have fun!

Bill, I only have stage 1 aero, my c7z is a base 1lz.

I plan to go back to Watkins Glen during labor day with Chin. With cooler temps, no passenger, more committment up the esses, turn 10 and 11 I'm hoping for a 2.00.

I will definitely try using 4th thru the bus stop and turn 6. I'm sure it will help getting back to throttle sooner based on the reasons you mentioned.

This track is becoming one of my favorites.
Didn't mean to imply using 4th through 6. I run 4th through the bus stop, around the carousel and down the chute downshifting to 3rd in the braking zone for 6.

I have been suspecting the Stage 3 Aero has been killing me at speeds above 140. Car is totally stock except for GMPP Secondary radiator and AP Racing brakes front and rear.

Could try pushing the stage 3 to its lowest rear spoiler setting or pulling it off for a few runs and play around. X pipe is very cheap and easy to change (especially for someone like you if I remember you even do your own alignments) will free up some ponies approx 20hp if going by dyno runs from LHT performance on YouTube. Idk what 20hp means top speed wise but that’s like 1/4 of the zr1 difference

Thanks to all for the kind words.

Yes, Bill, the stage 3 is not kind to your mph at speeds above 140. There is a huge difference in speed on the straights between stage 1 and stage 3, however stage 3 should help you get around corners better.

Steve, if you knew what’s good for you, you would run away. Do you know what it is like hoarding brake pads and tires? It started out innocent enough. Drive to the track, do some sessions and then drive home. All of a sudden you need to have a trailer with 2 sets of wheels and extra brake pads.

Exactly why my basement has two spare sets of tires and I’m trailer shopping 😭😭 I love it though

Steve, take Basil's advice. 🤪

Just kidding. Here are a few websites you can use to search for HPDE events in your area.

How much is track insurance setting you guys back?

EDIT: BTW, sweet video. I'm in the hunt for a new car and have my choices narrowed down pretty far. Every time I see one of these I lean just a wee bit towards the Chevy!

$300-450 a day or weekend try “on track” they had the best rates for me. I’ve used Lockton and hagerty before. Some have discounts for different “schools” or track day operators.

Nice job driving and thanks for sharing. Do you only have 2 track days and allowed to run in the Advanced group? You seemed to drive the line very well

I tried lowering the wickerbill w Stage 3 and it was actually slower compared to fully up. That stage 1 definitely helping on the straights.

Thanks. No, I have more track days than I care to count. I'm actually an instructor. This was my second event at Watkins Glen. I've been to several different tracks.
