Default Normal operating temperature

I noticed today that in this 100 degree heat my engine and oil temperature run around 216 degrees. Is this normal?

City/highway driving?
What model C7 - standard/Z51/Z06?
What transmission - auto/manual?
"Spirited" driving or just normal street driving?

Not sure there is a "normal" on temps but certainly would help responding if more detail was provided.

Dallas temps Friday were 90+, Normal street driving in my 3LZ Z06/Z07 temps were water/199, oil/201.

Normal. Oil temp usually runs 5 to 60 degrees higher than the coolant temp.

It's a little warm. But ok for an a8. If you see >220 or 225 your tstat might be getting stuck. Check if you have enough fluid in your overflow tank.

I went for a drive yesterday afternoon on the highway and it stayed around 200 or so for both oil and engine temps. Ambient temp was 103. Must have been the stop and go driving in the hot 100 degree temps in the city that heated to the 216 range. All is good.

Can't cool down if the air going through the radiator is the exhaust from the car infront of you
