Pulled the trigger on a Range AFM today.

It works exactly as described. First "MOD" I did to my 19. I hated the way it sounded in V4 mode mostly. I also think there is less stress on the transmission using this device.
I installed the Mild2Wild kit as well and mostly have the valves open all the time, but it allows me to start the car and exit the neighborhood in stealth mode if I'm leaving (or returning) very early in the morning.

No. You can just pull the fuse if you want the valves open all the time, but I sometimes leave very early in the morning and I am considerate of my neighbors. The cold start on these cars is quite loud, so I put the car in service mode when it's early, close the valves with the M2W and start the car. Works great😊
