Default 02 Simulators

Have any of you guys used & or using "Big Daddies Garage" 02 simulators? If so are you using the straight or 90 degree simulators? Also what are the tricks to getting them to work?

-Thanks in Advance!

I used them on a lady friends Honda Accord. They are working and have been working for 2 years or so now.
I use Hp tuners so if necessary I just turn the after cat 02 codes off in the tune and be done with it. I couldn't do that with her Honda

A local shop here told me that they have a way of telling if the after cat 02's are turned off in the tune now for emissions so that loop hole is gone.

If you install them just like this, the check engine light will never trigger.
They worked just fine till I switched to headers.

You set then up the same way and you should be good.
If you run the headers you will want to tune it and if you do so you can just have the secondary O2's shut off and you would not need them at all.

I am looking to go with this same set up? Out of curiosity why did you decide to change from this to long tube headers?

pack the O2 fouler with steel wool and you won t get a light. sensor reading needs to be different than the pre cat sensor and steel wool changes that

Spoolin is the smell really that bad without cats? Some make it sound like it is absolutely unbearable and you wreak of gasoline whenever you get out of the car. Find it hard to believe it is truly that bad.

I personally don't think its terrible but I assure you, you will stink like fuel anywhere you go. I don't mind it, my girl actually likes the smell. But I wouldn't take the car somewhere nice due to the smell.

Thanks for the input. I think I am going to just go with hi-flow cats on the xpipe with the new long tube headers to eliminate this potential issue. I am willing to accept the loss in hp.

How much power are you planning on making? I was informed that high HP cars could have engine failure if a cat fails, which is why I opted to go without cats.

Not much at all. This is more of a sound issue for me rather than hp. In the future after I get the exhaust done and car tuned (going to add a ported throttle body, ported intake and cold air intake along with the full exhaust), I will go with a stage 1 cam. I am one of the few who could care less about hp. If I gain some great...but if not I am good as well. Sounds crazy to be spending thousands just for "sound" but it is what I want

Not at all, I don't think its crazy. Don't let anyone fool you if they say they just put headers on for more HP, we all love the sound. In your case, I would definitely use cats.

I definitely knew there was much more involved than slapping on some headers. It is amazing what a good tuner can get out of these cars...even with basically bolt on items. Cant wait to do the upgrades....just a little thing called money standing in the way . I pretty much have everything all picked out and whom I am going with. That way when the time comes I can start pulling the trigger. Take care and thanks again.
