Default Intake Question -

My new-to-me Z06 isn't here yet, but I'm already shopping parts.

Looking at intakes..

I like the AFE intake and was going to order but noticed the carbon fiber Corsa intake is only $190 bucks extra and the carbon fiber looks OH SO SWEET.

Any CF opinions on one vs. the other? Plans will be to add an exhaust at some point if not already on the car. Will be searching an X pipe that deletes the secondary cats. Make it breath better and free up some power. No plans to go crazy mod's with it.

Well, you asked for opinions, so I suspect you are going to get a bunch!

I installed the GM Performance Cold Air Intake System: Part No.84689752.

All of the intakes mentioned are going to perform about the same with the light mods you are proposing, so just pick the one you like the best.
Without a tune and significantly boosting the amount of air your engine can move, your bottleneck is not going to be any of the popular C7 intakes.

After bolt-on's and a tune its the regular engine stuff (throttle body, blower, heads, cam profile) that's a bottleneck.

Im at 860whp now and my Halltech is still not a bottleneck according on the data logged during the dyno tuning. I could probably eek a little more out by just swapping to a 5" intake and from a 103mm to 112mm at this point because of the PD blower.
Going to a 5" intake on 850+whp cars with a PD blower seems to free up some more power on 103mm & 112mm throttle bodied cars.
There are a lot of high horsepower cars running around with these popular intakes and the intake is not the reason they can't pack more air in.

OK....I will never go into all that unless the motor blows for some reason and I'm footing the bill.

So, pretty much plans will be intake, exhaust, throttle body and tune to add performance. 600 at the wheels would be more than enough for me.

Thank you! @MCK_Z06
