I purchased new TMPS sensors from forum vendor, Bob. Installed the new wheels today with the new sensors & I am unable to get the car to read the sensors. I put the car into “learning mode” for the sensors & have driven roughly 30-35 miles at speeds over 25mph, but the car still shows the tire pressure from the original wheels.
I have had it take a complete day for them to switch over on my 15Z. I switch from street to track wheels and back. I don't use a programmer. Just put the wheels on the car and drive.

Thanks Bill. I’ll wait a couple of days and see if they do anything.
not sure actually, it is orange.
I got it from Nate at corvette garage because I had problems with the sensors that came in the wheels I bought from him.
He sent me the programmer and let me keep it.
It's my understanding they are pretty darn cheap anyway.
This car is an absolute NIGHTMARE if your sensors trip out while on the road. It puts stability control into a limp mode and taking any corner trips it out and the car jerks you around the whole turn.
Horrible.

Gotcha. I ordered one off of amazon to see if that will do the trick. Still no luck as of this morning.

what procedure are you following?
I know the car has to be running, then I think when you go to the tire screen and hold down enter the car will beep twice I believe and I think the screen also gives an indication that it is in program mode.
Then you start at each tire individually and it beeps when it is read, and beeps twice I think on the 4th and final one.
I sort of forget since it's been months now but I'm actually planning on switching back to my summer tires in the next few weeks.
If you need the actual procedure I could find it but I'm sure you have it.

I had read on several threads that some people had luck with mounting the new wheels & just driving. Tried that with no luck. Then I tried putting the car in "learning mode" and driving the 10-15 minutes over 12mph & had no luck with that either. Hoping this programmer will do the trick as the tire screen currently shows the original tire pressure for my stock wheels which is definitely incorrect.

I can't believe you are lucky enough to still have it display that. Once that goes blank it goes into the limp mode which totally sucks.
Hopefully the programmer will work out. When I've done it sometimes a wheel picks up in a second and sometimes I have to push the thing several times over 20 or 30 seconds.
My 16 Z06 takes a little time sometimes as well. I change back and forth between drag radials and street tires. Sometimes it picks them right up and sometimes it takes a few ignition cycles. It should pick them up before too much longer. Mine doesn't seem to do any better when I put it in learn mode vs just driving it. If you want it instantly most rim/tire shops have a tool to set them and I don't think they charge much if any at all.

When I put my track wheels on it automatically found them pretty quickly. I bought the reset tool beforehand just in case but did not need to use it yet.

Car is a 2015 Z06.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
"Learning mode" only works with the TPMS reset tool, take the car out of that mode and just drive it for 15-20 minutes at more than 20 mph and it should recognize the new sensors.
But if you're using the reset tool, once you put the car into learning mode (and hear the two beeps indicating that is active) start with the LF, then RF, RR and finish with LR. After that sequence the car will again beep a couple of times and the new sensors will be active.

The programmer I ordered doesn’t seem to work. Could you tell me the model of yours?
Does anyone know if my old ATEQ VT10 programming tool that I have been using on my C6 for the past decade or so, work with my new to me '17 C7 Z06? I haven't tried it yet.
The old programmer should work. The manual learning procedure is to keep the engine either running or on "ON" position, with handbrake on you press and hold select button while it's displaying tire pressures in info screen. Once you hear the honk, just register sensors starting from the driver front, clockwise.
As mentioned, no need to switch to learning mode for auto learn. The auto-learn triangulates the sensors to figure out which tire they're at. Actually, auto-learn never stops. When I had finicky sensors, I saw it sometimes registering sensors in wrong corners...
In my experience, auto-learn sometimes works very quickly, but in other times it takes a long time, especially if/when one of the sensors don't comply well. Actually, if one of the sensors is broken, the learning will never complete, and it will not auto-register the remaining 3, either. For this reason, and since I sometimes cook sensors, I use a manual trainer. That way, I can figure out which one is not working well, and can get it replaced with my 'spare' sensors right away : )
Man, I'm embarrassed. I have this same "relearn tool". I must have bought it over 15 years ago and I don't think I ever used it. When I saw this thread, I went to my cabinets and found it. My TPMS have always reset on their own. I remember when dealers used to charge to reset TPMS and I'd need that when I switched from summer tires to winter and back again on dedicated wheels. Remember when the TPMS would pick up signals from other cars and you wondered what happened to the display? I've even had a display show the wrong pressure and then a few seconds later, it righted itself. I thought this tool cost around $60+ then. What's the price of these now? Just checked it and the 9 volt still works in it.
