I agree. Most of my runs are 1/8th mile so that low end torque is what really gets these heavy cars going.

Bigger is not better. Just like with carbs. Unless you are 700-750 HP and running at 6 grand you don't need 2 inch headers. You may lose you bottom end torque where street cars live.

I may be wrong since I have never been able to drive a dyno down the street.
