Default Diff question

OK guys, I've pretty much exhausted options on solving the "service rear axle" situation.

Yes, we've chased down pretty much everything anyone has suggested on the forums, and have also done GM's proper bleeding process of the eLSD clutch pacs via the computer. it still come back, and unlocks the diff, code is C0414 58

Has anyone been able to just replace the clutch pacs, and not the entire Diff, or is that really my only option other then going aftermarket with wavetrack and such, thanks in advance!!

The diagnostic procedure indicates if there aren't any internal/external leaks, the fluid levels are good and the clutch control hydraulic system is bled properly there is a mechanical malfunction that requires complete replacement of the diff.

Thanks Bill, we saw that too, but have now uncovered info that we can purchase the cover and feel quite confident the eLSD clutch pacs/disc will be contained within. part # 84644561 I guess we'll know for sure next week...

Interesting, when I entered your part number into Google it came back with Amazon offering it as Rear Driver Side Axle Housing Cover - GM (84644561) but all of the GM discount sites indicated it was called a Front Cover and didn't fit either my 2015 or your 2017 Z06. It only fit 2019 GS, Z06, and ZR1. The sites did offer an alternative part: However, this part does fit your car: Rear Driver Side Axle Housing Cover - GM (84011435).

Part Number 84644561 shows up at 5 times the cost of Part Number 84011435 on the GM sites.

So the question is with GM's proclivity to roll part numbers for seemingly mysterious reasons which P/N is the one you want? Hopefully, your local dealer parts guy knows the secret.

For sure Bill, I've got three different TOP Notch GM parts guys, and my personal Mec is a 20 year certified GM tec whose main work at the dealership is tranny and diffs, we all felt this part was the right one, but I guess we won't know for sure till we look it over once it comes...
