After seeing GMs description on the web that driving the ZR1 will make driving a ZO6 seem sluggish

Very same statement was made about the out going ZR1 when the ZO6 came out on 15.

Not sure that I would catagorize my 16 Callaway Z as sluggish. Be interesting to line up against one when they arrive. Time will tell.

Having had dealer order, allocation, and delay problems in the past. Not sure how to tell if the dealer can really make my order.
Limited to the number they can sell.

It will be limited to the amount of people willing to write a big check. Personally, I might buy one when the dealers are blowing them out at huge discounts at the end of their reign as king.

I'm not saying they don't make money on the car itself, I'm saying the money they make off these high-end models is not significant in the overall scheme of things. They make their money selling trucks/SUVs/minivans.

Hope you did not make the mistake of rolling the dice on an A8 with all its troubles. M7 is the way to go. All you need is to spend all that money only to find out the A8 needs a torque converter and they rip you whole car apart.. A8 is a dog..Even if the A8 converter is good out of the box, who knows if it will go bad long term.

Make the Z06 sluggish? My A$$! You should not have wasted your money on a GS in the first place.

It amazes me how many people on this site DONT read or either read something else into the thread. Reference the sluggish comments. If you took the time like I did to read all the latest web info on the ZR1 you would find and see the SAME quote and reference I made by your buddy Tadge. Yes it jokingly came from him and I tried to relay that statement on here but as usual it did not work. For 15 years i was involved in Vipers, and also on the Viper forums much more than here, and I never saw the friction or hatred between members nearly like on the Vette forums. I wonder why there is so much animosity with Corvette owners compared to other sports car owners.

I think it has to do with the average age, proportion of waxers and chrome wheel option tickers who generally (not always) tend to view their purchase as a competitive status symbol. It is embarrassing.

Your wife saved you from yourself. We've been down the "first year" road before. The kinks get worked out in the succeeding years. She saved you a lot of money.

Default Paperwork

What kind of paperwork did they give you for the ZR1?

Contract? Receipt for your deposit only?

I had a deposit on my Z06 way back when, two dealers screwed me even though I had money down......

You think the waxers are hammering your purchase? Wait until the mid engine hits! They hated the taillights on the c7 wait for the zora!

Envy is a killer!

Good luck on your purchase.

So you put a deposit down on a car and you have no idea how much it costs?

How do you even know whether this dealership will even get an allocation? Suppose you have to wait six months when you could have gotten one sooner and cheaper from one of the forum dealers.
