ZR1 spoiler too big

Did you see the new AMG 6:25.91 record seeker!?
I think he's trying to say that the 488 Pista doesn't use wings to achieve (relatively)high downforce. I don't know why he can't condense that into a simple sentence.
He says more and more exotics aren't paying the price of having a big wing but the ZR1, GT2/3RS, AMG GT-R(and upcoming Black Series), Huracan Performante, Aventador SV(and upcoming Performante), Huayra BC, etc. say otherwise.

I know what you're saying! But, will the 488 make The Ring? Not without a lot of New computer help! The cars are going to know the track sometime! And the 488 will be the C8 platforms brother!
It's one thing to slide around a big racetrack and quite another to play on your twisties or the Nurburgring! Interesting is all!
By the way the McLaren F1 originally was supposed to be without external wings!

Not for me, no big wing, no track package, I want a touring car and one for the Texas Mile to get a second 200+MPH Club T-shirt and sticker.

It'll be a better miler than the Z06, but without a good tail wind it won't hit 200 in a mile. You need 800-ish hp to the wheels to do that in a mile. So you'll need to mod it a bit - which will be interesting to see how well the ZR takes to mods with its new ecm. Hopefully the ecm won't prove too much of a PIA.

Still takes 800+ at the wheels though to hit 200 in the mile absent some most gracious help from mother nature.

As I said, with a stout tailwind, perhaps, but not straight up. I ran the Texas Mile every year they held the event at Beeville. In usual conditions there, bone stock C6 ZR1s predominantly run 178 - 182 mph.

Over 200 MPH per Tadge!
With the wing in its normal setting, the GT2 RS generates 750 lbs (340 kg) of downforce at its 211-mph top speed, and when it's set to its maximum angle of attack, that figure increases to 992 lbs (450 kg).
The GT2 RS's rear wing was set to maximum attack for the record run, which surely helped the car in the Nurburgring's many high-speed corners. But despite running a high-downforce setup—and therefore increasing drag—the GT2 RS still managed to hit around 193 mph on the Nurburgring's final straight.

Re the terminal top speed of the C7 ZR1, per an interview of Tadge in the April Corvette Magazine:
212.48 mph - a two-way average attained at Papenburg, Germany proving ground.

Mobil1 and Tadge on Top Speed! ;)
Top Speed
Chevrolet is confident in quoting the ZR1’s top speed of 212 miles per hour because the company verified it in real life. That figure – more exactly, 212.48 mph – was the average of two flying-mile runs at Papenberg test track: “It’s a track in Germany with very, very long straightaways and high-banked turns.”
That speed, by the way, is achieved only with the car’s standard wing setup; opting for the High Wing option saps about 10 mph of maximum speed, Juechter says.
