GM can't play around either, they need that 6 min lap. Mero will still get his seat time but...the time needs to get put in by one of the veterans of Corvette racing for marketing reasons anyway.
The ZR1 is in good hands with Gavin for sure. He'll do it. 6's are comin

Corvette vs Wingsuit
Those crazy French guys flying down mountain sides in a wing suit. Must mean driving a ZR1 to the Nordschliefe record parallels that. Death defying!

Going first for a Nurburgring fast lap in the Z06, with it's new MRC calibrations and cooling, would make sense for European marketing (NOTE Ollie's ChevroletEurope hashtag), especially since the ZR1 is not available in that market. Ring times resonate more in Europe, and if they can break 7 minutes in the Z06, that would be a banner moment for that car. Maybe a new thread should start in the Z06 section?

NOTE: Z06 hashtag. and Z06 steering wheel (and roof liner?) in the photo. This may be a Z06 run, with ZR1 coming later? That, or the car is a prototype interior on the ZR1, with a different steering wheel...

A Ringtime Please! ;)
The orange ZR1 prototype has basically been a ZO6, of course. They've kind of done this stuff out there before. They made ZO7's out of Z06's as I recall. There has also been that white ZR1!?
All the exterior views have had the upgrades. But is there a mid year ZO6 upgrade in the works?
Is a kit coming on line?
There's a bunch of ZO6's out there, and there's a bunch to prove!
And shipping complete ZR1's to Europe...ever?

They may still go for a fast lap time at the Nurburgring with the Z06, again to benefit the European marketing team. The Z06 has already beat the ACR at VIR, so it may have a shot at a 7 minute time at Nurburgring. Porsche wasn't worried about the GT3 RS cramping the GT2 RS's times, so why would Chevy?
