Default Yes and No!? PTV could have a vague floating line, as written! ;)

Read about it! Some TC at corner exit perhaps Not described. You know part of those Turned Off electronics that Pobst is going to exaggerate.
That aside the car is magical and gorgeous to watch!
A RWD turbo 911 too! Wow!

I watched shmee’s gt2rs review and one major issue with gt2rs that to me is a non starter is the SOUND. It sounds incredibly boring and not raw compared to gt3 or zr1. I just couldnt be happy with this car even if it sold for same price as zr1 and could get one.

Better get used to them! They make more sense.

At the Nordschleife it's really not that much, in fact over the 154 turns it averages to only about 7 hundredths of a second slower per turn! To give you an idea that's about the difference between the LMGTE-Pro and LMGTE-Am drivers at the 24 Hours of Le Mans last year (Silver drivers were a little faster).

Not if they come out of the pits at a slow speed and hit a bump on the track.

The ZR1 is NOT faster around the ring than the ACR Viper! If it were GM would have already released the time.

Your 'humor' made a hard left turn and ran straight into the wall. I have never driven a Mustang much less owned one. In 1964 I was at the Ford dealership in Wichita, Kansas for the very first viewing of the 1964 1/2 Mustang that occurred. simultaneously at every other Ford dealerships all over the USA . In fact, the very next week, I went to the Chevrolet dealer and purchased my very first new car; a 1964 Malibu SS hardtop with the 327, 4 speed, posi, and the F40 suspension. I would have purchased a new Corvette, but being in the Air Force, I didn't have that kind of money.
Then I purchased a new 396, 4-speed Impala, then a new 1966 Oldsmobile 4-4-2, etc.

Been driving Corvettes for decades(currently own three of them), and I have never made a hard left turn and drove head on into a wall in a single one of them. In fact, I have never wrecked a single one of the Corvettes I have owned, nor have I ever received a speeding ticket in any Corvette that I have owned.

Pretty sure he was referring to the guy driving the Porsche in the video... you know, the ol' Mustang crashing leaving cars and coffee joke...

I can’t take any of these ring times serious anymore. No way do I believe a car with nearly half the power can beat the million dollar 918. Nissan and Ferrari have both been caught using ringers and I wouldn’t be surprised if Porsche is doing the same. You can’t tell me Porsche has advanced their technology so far that a 500hp car is doing numbers like an over 800hp hyper car made by the same company that’s only a couple years old. Just don’t believe it.

Bingo. Porsche generally is regarded as one of the most profitable car companies in the world, so they've got every incentive - including being less than candid about track times, actual vehicle specifications and other mostly unverifiable performance metrics at the 'Ring - to perpetuate the notion that their GT cars (in particular) have superior performance to other comparable cars. Otherwise, the willingness of Porsche customers to slavishly pay ADM for new vehicles, or obscene prices in the secondary market will go away. You can't even order these cars unless your sitteth at the right hand of a Porsche employee, a dealer, or are engaged in some bizarre schmooze-fest with a Porsche salesperson as to your standing on some mythical wait-list. Like Ferrari, they play the supply-demand game well, and fully appreciate that scarcity value adds to secondary prices and appeals to the folks that cannot bear to be seen in a car that is too easy to acquire.

The general unavailability of these cars at MSRP, combined with "dieselgate" and continuing evidence of a prevailing company culture that suggests nothing will come between Porsche and the Golden Egg is all a bit slimy. There's really no nobility in overpaying for a high-performance car. Events over of the the last couple of years certainly have diminished my enthusiasm for chasing the pixie dust required to obtain a Porsche GT car. I talk to others with much the same view. The Emperor has lost some clothing...

This is the exact reason my friend picked up a used F12 over a GT3RS. Didn’t feel like paying some ridiculous over MSRP for the car. I personally can’t afford cars in the 200s and up, but even if I could, Porsche wouldn’t make that list unless I was going straight to the top at the CGT or 918. Otherwise I’d just wait for a few years and get a regular Turbo for under 100.

Meanwhile, Corvette mostly under promises and over delivers. It's clear to me the engineers sweat the details on these cars. ZR1 - and all Corvettes - offer significant value for the enthusiast's dollar, and don't cost extraordinary sums to maintain.

Buying a Corvette wasn’t really on my top of my list, I just weighed all my options and went with what I thought I’d be happiest with. My first choice at the time was a McLaren 12C, but the insane maintence put me in a position where I’d be too afraid to enjoy it as I’d always be worried about coming off major sums of money if anything happened as even the extended warranty excludes a lot.

There were other cars I looked at too like the Alfa 4C, but 60k for a 4 cylinder? Hard pass. I already own a BMW and it’s always in the shop, literally in the shop right now. So didn’t want an “M” product. Basically as I got down the list and started checking things off I just had to have the Vette. Took me a few months to find the “right” one and went and bought it the same day I saw it on Car Gurus. You just can’t beat the bang for the buck or the low (relatively) cost of maintence for a car that does sub 12s in the quarter and tons of fun to drive while still able to be a daily if you wish.

I’m not saying the cars they’re running aren’t hitting the times, I’m saying they’re not actually the production cars that people are buying.
