Congrats Abe, great run (especially it being the very first time you took the Beast down the track)!!

Default ZR1 convertible

Took my ZR1 low wing convertible back to the strip and it went very well. Definitely a low 10 second car in the right conditions even with the extra weight. Ran a 10.405 @ 134.78
Dragy data was:
0-60: 2.63 / 2.87 with 1ft rollout included
0-130: 9.59 / 9.83 with 1ft rollout included
60-130: 6.96

Year: 2019
Transmission: A8
Package: Low wing / Convertible
Tune: None
Fuel: 93 pump gas
Modifications: None
Track: Atco Dragway
Date and Time of Run: 10//7/20
Density Altitude: 1320

Here is a 'repeatable' one (2015 A8 Z06) on OEM stock rims & MPSS tires. A 260 lbs. driver at the wheel (ME).

The 60' was actually an accident and I wasn't expecting what happened. We I came out of the water box I always shift to neutral give it a little throttle clean out and stage. When I went in to stage I somehow got the shifter between D & N. When the tree came down I rolled into the throttle and it revved way up and then clunked into D. It yielded that 60'. I probably can't repeat it. It was a fluke.

I was digging in some old papers the other day and came across this slip I had forgotten about. I can't find the video of it and can't really remember the other details. I'm having some memory issues. If y'all don't want to post it to the list no problem I understand with not being able to see it first hand.

Hahahahahaha - Yes sir !!! This was just after I passed through the trap. I suppose I should have backed it up a frame or two so it still showed full throttle instead of showing the timing gate flyer better. There were actually 2 of those marker flags. We are seeing the 2nd one.

OK GeorgeZR1 - I got back into the PDR and advanced it a frame at a time and found this frame. In it you can see the approaching timing beam and the 1-mile orange cone and you can see the ZR is still hammer-down.

Thanks for catching that sir

I thought you might be pedal to the metal all the way through the gates - great run! I track mine (VIR, Homestead and PBIR) and so far have only reached 157 on the straights; but I really enjoy the corners more than the straights - this car is amazing. I finally was able to replace the tires that I wore out (only 4400 miles on them); now that Michelin finally resumed making them (~$3K)!

George I’ve managed to hit 164mph down the back stretch at Sebring back in May when the temp was 90*. It really just depends on how you get off 16. I run with NASA and Suncoast Porsche club. Both good groups. 157’s pretty dang fast. Jim
