Default How to do your own alignment

I'm a gear head and do a lot of my own mechanical work. I have a 4 post lift at home and a lot of tools and I have a tendency to not to trust any dealer from any brand. I think alignment is something I can do I just dont know what tools to get and what guide to follow.I dont want to say money is no concern but let's assume to some degree I can afford some of these tools.

I'm also assuming because my 4 post lift is dead level when resting on any of the locks or in motion, I can use this to my advantage for having a flat plane that all 4 wheels are resting. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Many threads on this, most are in the A&RR section. Here is one I did a while back.

Excellent info

I have a C5 and just did my own alignment, I have drop spindles, coilovers, AMT camber kit which is not really for street, but I got it pretty close to where I want it. I also bought the Tenhulzen kit & 4 turn plates, I run 305 & 295 width tires and am really impressed how nice the car drives, does not wander with the wide tires on the front, and I like knowing that I can make changes any time I want, but it is very time consuming but rewarding.
