Default Build to delivery time

I was just notified that my ZR1 was built but I don't have the VIN as of yet....
How long did you have to wait before it was shipped from the factory?

If the car is built you should have a VIN for sure. The car usually ships around 10 days after completion

If you have the order number, you can go on the Chevrolet website and go to the live chat. You can check your order status there. If built they’ll give you the VIN as well.

They may hold it for up to 2 weeks before shipment: if any defects from suppliers, they can fix the just-built vehicles as well.
Many different ways to get VIN as mentioned previously...
I did Museum delivery (highly recommended) last week; shipped by enclosed transporter to CA (5 days from BG), just got it last night.
It'll look great in your garage!
Congrats!

If your car is built you can get a Vin as described above.. but the car can be held in bay.. then there is the issue of when a truck is coming your way. My dealer is in the top 10 Corvette dealers in the country. He found out my car was delivered the day the truck showed up at his dealership. Two false alarms before that from Z06’s that were delivered(none of the aero is on the cars under the white plastic skin.). It can take several weeks or a lot less. Hope for the best situation, but nothing can be done that I am aware of to speed up the process. Once you get your VIN, you can schedule your Ron Fellows school. Congrats on the car.

The ZR1 I'm picking up this coming Saturday was built on 1-25-2019 and delivered to the dealer who ordered it on Feb 1st. they are in middle Alabama.

Also FYI my 2016 Z06 ordered was built on 8/18/2016 and delivered to the dealer in Greenville, SC on 8/31/2016

It was built on my bday, 8/18/1963

My car was built Jan. 10, it was invoiced to the dealer Jan. 14, it arrived at the dealer Feb. 22, and the dealer had no clue it was arriving that day. The whole process is very disorganized.
