Most of my runs are made in mid 90 degree weather. It is very rare that I get to run in the 70's much less any lower. And, yes, I think the dyno guy was doing something to make his numbers look better than what I actually got out of the car. As far as weight I'm 325 and my car runs at 3890lbs with the stuff I keep in the back of it. I don't just take it out and leave it in a pit spot I carry some heavy and valuable stuff or at least it is to me, so it stays in the car. I use heavy wheels. 19X12 factory repros with MT 345-30-19 DR's and it usually 60's mid 1.6's to 1.7's.
Driving the car on the road it feels like it could pick up the front wheels at will, but it just won't pull any better numbers. That's why I have the engine out and going with a different cam.

And, no offense taken at all. This is how we help each other. I always welcome imput from others. I've been doing this for over 40 years and the day you think you know it all you should stop doing it because you're only fooling yourself.

We did run at Richmond Dragway on June 15, 2018 with a DA +1500 and 80 degrees. Our best time that night was 10.19/136.5. That was with drag radials and the Chevrolet Performance
Cold Air Intake.

Can we get more details on that pls?
Yes, we were asked to wait until Chevrolet Performance reintroduced the Cold Air Intake. The reason for the "mystery" title was because someone made a video and posted on BigKleib34 and we were unable to answer questions regarding that run until now. As the post states, we took it a step further than just the Cold Air Intake and removed the passenger seat and spoiler for the fun of it (modified class).

The ZR1 has not been on the dyno. The removal of the passenger seat (65 lbs.) also helped.

Chevrolet Performance asked us to wait because they were reintroducing the Cold Air Intake. This run was under very good conditions (look at the DA). The same car in June 2018 with the Cold Air Intake with a DA +1500 ran 10.19/136.5...….Most important: I've been running C7's since 2014, having made 100's of passes, you get a feel for these cars and our runs are not by accident. We always seek out the best conditions and for all the good runs, there are many more that disappoint. Thank you

Put the wheel of your car in the hands of one of these guys and once they learn the car and track who knows what your car would do.

fartpipe as I recall has had c7’s , gtr’s and went back to the c6z06 as it was a more fun car to him to blast down the track with.
Thank you for your support. We learned from the likes of Snorman, Kyle Lemish, Fartpipe, Big Nasty. We have spent years learning the C7's. It is hundreds of passes in the Z51, Z06, ZR1 that give you a feel for the car. But, most important, as Kyle Lemish stressed: the planning, track prep, and DA. We make these runs under the best possible conditions and for every good run, there are many that we do not post.

How much do you think the skinnies help? Also what brand size. I don't know anything about them.

You know these c7s that's for sure.

Thanks,

Kevin

One of the best rentals is the V-club in the spring. DA is usually around 0 and full prep. I cut a 1.61 60’ with worn out Hoosiers and went 11.70 with my stock C6GS, faster than any manual nonZ C6 or C7 and it was only 2nd time to track with the new to me car.

Farmer, please don't take what I say as a personal hit, but I have 100's of passes as well , maybe 200+ at various events since 2015. I've owned 4 C7 Z06s and hope you expect and understand the skepticism from not only me, but others that have and will chime in. You definitely pick the fast tracks for sure. If all up and up... bad *** my friend. I'd be the first one to buy you a beverage of choice if ever in the same area. Cheers.

What size front wheels you running?

That is where Matthew Owens in his C7 Z06 from Dedicated Motorsports went 9.271 @ 148.56 in -125 DA and I am guessing about 800-810 whp.

What size front wheels you running?
He picks the tracks that are close to him. We have 100's of runs at Richmond and most of it in heat. Everyone is always skeptical when they can't do it either. Understand, but looking at the pictures of your car you are also carrying an extra 500lbs of weight behind you. At VIR you would kill Will's car in lap times but not down the 1/4. We have been asked so many time how, are you cheating etc. The answer is no and everyone has been and is always welcome to come down and look at the car when we are racing it. My answer to how is it so fast is always the same, what is slowing you down. Chevrolet built a awesome vehicle but not everyone can just climb in one and make it perform it's best. It is like that with everything. As far as the 'mystery" Will explained it, it was about the air box, the calibration in the car is still the same one that it had when it left Bowling Green. Anyone is welcome to bring their MDI and verify that as well.

Yeah, no worries. I have an 800+ whp C7 Z06. I have seen C7 Z06s with seats taken out., full 15" drag radials, front skinnies, stage 1 aero, and better DA than what he had and 820 whp run 148 mph. Something just does not add up unless the track is downhill, a 50 mph tailwind, or timing device error. No way a car with sub 700whp is going to trap 147 mph.

So h3mpking it sounds like to me I can remove my wing and passengers seat and drag your ***.
