Yes, when I took the ZR1 driving class back in 2010, I paid with a "Credit Card" for my son to take the class in a Z06. I don't recall the exact cost, but it was pretty pricey. Where did I ever saying anything about driving like an unsupervised ******* and what does that have to do with buying a one owner car vs a driver school track car that is driven by hundreds of unprofessional drivers?

Oh, sorry. I'm confused then. All of these things are the same as being driven under supervised, controlled conditions at a school.

"Properly maintained" airport rental car?

"Prostitute ZR1"

track ******

a complete POS

I do agree the SM cars are a great opportunity, but the buyer deserves to know the cars history AND the price should most certainly be cheaper compared to Non SM cars. This is not always the case and uneducated buyers are paying too much. So I feel strongly the folks who know, must speak up and educate those who do not know!!!!
What is not true? You're saying the same thing as I. SM cars bring in LESS money (when the buyer knows the history).

Sorry, I thought you meant the SM cars "ARE" being sold for less money than non-SM cars, which is not always the case.
Many SM cars have been sold for more than lower mile non-SM cars and sadly the buyers have no clue. Currently (2) ZR1's on ebay for less than the SM car mentioned above. One with lesser miles listed 10k cheaper, one with similar miles listed 10k cheaper.

Sorry, I don't mean to beat this subject to death, but good, bad or the other, buyers deserve to know these were driving school track cars.
God Bless and wish you a all a great day!

This one is on BaT. Of course there is no mention of it being a SM car however someone pointed it out. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...-zr1-coupe-22/

How does one determine if a car was a Spring Mountain car?

. If it went to Spring Mountain, will it say so? My car info did not indicate spring mountain but it is a preproduction car. Did all preproduction cars go to spring mountain? I was told by the dealer that it was driven by a GM exec/engineer and I was considered the first owner. When I asked if it was tracked the answer was no. I purchased it with 8600 miles on it and its condition in no way reflected being driven hard on the track.

If I recall correctly all SM cars went to auction with 12K ish miles on them so your car would not be a SM track car.

Many of us that went to SM and drove the cars took pics of the VINs and got the info to the ZR1 registry. So, it would document the history of the cars.
