C8 Lingenfelter Owners Thread
I'm really looking forward to hearing the details on exactly what changes/algorithms are addressed and how well integrated this solution is. Will they come with one (Street) tune? Will they have the option, now or in the future, for multiple tunes (street, drag strip, track), etc.?
I wonder if flashed ECUs are now also shipping to/for Lingenfelter, Callaway, etc.... Different ECU tunes to optimize performance on the various manufacturer's superchargers? Does anyone know who is actually doing the flashing/programming and how the flashed PCMs/ECUs will handle future GM updates (e.g. OTA updates)?
At some point, with the increased HP/TQ, the clutch becomes the weak link and slippage will occur. It's my understanding that clutch pressure can be increased: 1) with a "clutch pressure tuning box" that communicates with the TCU, but also 2) by physically upgrading (e.g. Dodson) the clutch. Of course, once the Clutch issues are addressed, the axles become the weak link - and fortunately there are also a couple of aftermarket axle upgrades available. Then, it's on to optimizing the wheels and tires.........Step by Step.....
It would be neat to see "flight control" software like Whipple uses...
The C8 in stock form was always a bit sterile... now it's an event. The sound that thing makes is glorious. There's definitely some supercharger whine in there but it's just right. There's no way to drive it without grinning like an idiot. It's loud in all the best ways possible. And when you get tired of being a hooligan you can put it in tour mode, roll the windows up and cruise in peace. Once it hits 8th gear on the freeway the SC sound is low enough your brain just tunes it out. If you had the radio on it'd be inaudible. That said, I never turned the radio on because listening to the car was way more entertaining. So far it's WAY better than I expected it to be (and I was expecting a lot). The package looks brilliant, the install is artwork and the thing absolutely goes like hell. Unfortunately the pavement here is cold and covered with brine so any 0-60 runs are probably out until spring (and it might need some stickier tires because there's a lot of wheelspin going on). Dropping the hammer on the freeway is hilarious. It's very Mad Max. And inexplicably it's still getting really good mileage. I cannot say enough good about the whole setup. Five stars!
Averaged 24 mpg driving back at varying speeds (put another check in the win column over the Z06).

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
We took the 'in for a penny, in for a pound' approach and opted for the headers, Corsa 4 valve exhaust, Halltech intake and half shafts. I don't have any before/after numbers to quantify the improvements made by the headers or the intake but I can tell you with absolute certainty that the exhaust was money well spent.

I am going to do Supercharger + half shafts + haltech intake + Corsa Exhaust. Also swapping some brake components, but not doing the Alcon upgrade as I won't be extensively tracking the car. Extremely excited and hoping for warm weather down south in early February so I can drive it down and back. It's about a 4 hour trip to their shop. I will say the customer service at Boost District is 1000% better/faster than all of my dealings with LPE directly. Hopefully we will see some content from real users of LPE superchargers as they should start hitting the streets any day, one at a time. Hopefully someone lives where its warm enough to play around and let us all know the results.

I'm curious if they discussed what a Stage 2 system would include and also did they explain what their C-CAL Process actually is?
"Factory ECM calibrated using our Lingenfelter “C-Cal” Process"
BTW, Happy New Year!
at present they use a piggy back module that talks to the ECM. They aren't tuning the ECM directly and do not have any different "modes" available outside of what comes with the car from factory.
Question for the system... is this 700hp as a base kit or do you have to purchase the exhaust, headers, intake, tb, and etc to get to that level. Or hopefully all those extra parts add even more ponies.
- 700HP 675TQ @ 7psi Boost (SAE Crank)
- Factory ECM calibrated using our Lingenfelter “C-Cal” Process
- Excellent Drivability Retaining All OEM Functions
- Eaton Advanced (TVS R) High Helix Four-Lobe Technology for Maximum Efficiency Across Entire Speed Range
- ECT Intercooler and Heat Exchanger System to Optimize Air-Flow Across the Charge Air Intercooler
- Magnuson Dynamic Flow Tuning (DFT) Inlet Porting
- Maintenance Free Supercharger Technology
- Lingenfelter 95mm Throttle Body
- 3-Year/36,000 Mile Warranty (Supplementing Factory Warranty)
- Dyno Certified
- Lingenfelter Certificate of Authenticity & Engine Bay Plaque
- DCT Track Prep
- Supercharger Heat Range Spark Plugs
Extras I am doing on top
- Lingenfelter C8 Corvette High-Performance Hornet Cold Air Intake Airbox by Halltech
- G-Force Outlaw Half Shafts
- Lingenfelter CORSA Performance Exhaust System
- Girodisc front & rear rotors w/new pads to reduce dust from OEM z51 pads
No idea what extra power the exhaust + intake will add with the SC set up. I believe when the work is done @ LPE, they do a Dyno before/after. Not sure if Boost District does dyno or not. I'm sure it's a bit more than the 700 with the extras but who knows how much.
