The most curious is that neither package is showing actual dyno numbers. So we keep pulling out our calculators just to estimate dyno numbers. The 510hp package is the most mind boggling.
.
I believe just what some members are missing is that one of those low ten second cars and according to their post the car in bone stock form made 470 rwhp. And by the time it was all said and done with the mods it was around 525 rwhp. Now since the E85 Trifecta tune was installed....
who knows how much more did it increase. But he ended up running 10.0s with the weight reduction included.

I'm wondering if 565hp would be enough to power through the too-tall 4th gear. Probably not. While certainly not cheap, it's not completely ridiculous if true.

As to the headers, very curious that several header brands have been verified by the community as effective based on time slips but they don't use them. Yet all of their naturally aspirated packs from Stage 2 and up utilize the Performance Design carbon intake manifold, which has definitely not been deemed 'effective' at this point. I wonder what they know that we don't?
565 @ rear wheels?
Or
565 @ Crank?

Another LPE car was dyno'd at 645rwhp that i saw on youtube. I asked him about his performance numbers 60-130 and he said he doesn't have a dragy. Hoping he gets one.

I think weight reduction in these cars is just as important for trying to get better results as adding power. They're kind of heavy

I don't know. Your guess is as good as mine since Katech has not seen fit to post any dyno sheets (if they've even built one of these yet) or even bothered to update the website with language like "est. 565 crank horsepower". I get it that Katech is an experienced engine builder and given the mature nature of small block tuning, they can nail what the horsepower and torque will be knowing their cam specs to within 3-5hp easily.

That said, there is no way in hell these could be whp numbers. 565 wheel is bang on Z06 power to weight. No way.

Katech, if you've built one of these, please post dyno graphs or even some video so we can hear what it sounds like.

Head/Cam and tune should be around 50 rwhp
. I had it done to my 2012 Camaro and C6. Seems to be conservative numbers coming from Katech. I am aware that they were top builders for GM.

It's not conservative by any means. The heads and cam pack is touted as "565hp", which if we assume that is crank, would then show in the 490-500rwhp range on a dyno. Which, given that C8s dyno 435-440rwhp, would be effectively be +55-60rwhp, right? If anything that seems a mite aggressive to me given the fact that the LT2 kind of has a 'mild cam' from the factory when compared to an LT1 with 1mm more lift on the exhaust side and a wider range of cam phasing available.

Exactly.....and there goes your 50rwhp. I totally forgot about the no headers with those packages. So, up to now it sounds like bolt-ons including a good set or preferred headers with that HP tune should be near those numbers I would think. But that doesn't mean it would take on a head/cam car.....total different animal. Anyways. according to Katech 510hp package they are not getting much of anything from the tune......maybe 10 rwhp which would put you at around 450rwhp compared to stock numbers.

Here's a pretty cool video showing you what's in the C8 ECM. Interesting to see the supercharger and turbocharger tabs.
