@OkieVette84 Was the V4 functionality removed when they did the valvetrain upgrade?

I dropped off my car yesterday to get the LPE/ Magnuson install done. Hopefully it will be done in 2 weeks. Prebuild dyno run should be done tomorrow. I will post the numbers, but they warned me their Mustang dyno is a heartbreaker.

Negative. All I said was that if his C8 makes that power with those mods, it indeed started out as a factory freak. That is easily 15-20hp higher than what would be a 'normal' number for this platform.

I believe those numbers could be accurate also just not the norm. I do know of one with the same results and ran 10.70s at the drag strip. But those factory tolerances are way off from the stock numbers. Get that C8 to the track because that particular dyno may show high readings.

What clutch did you go with?
What all did you wind up doing on this build?

I went with the LPE Magnuson package, Dodson Superstock clutch, DSS Axles, Mighty Mouse Wild Catch Can, Painted the valve covers and LPE C-Cal tune. Dyno numbers should be done next week.
Stay tuned for smaller pulley and custom tune. Probably next week as well.

id like to drive a car with the big-bad clutch. I'm debating between the two clutches you mentioned myself. The 820wtq for the lesser clutch is a smidgen light for where I think I will wind up... I'm worried about spending $6k on a clutch only to exceed its capability. But I'm also worried about the driveability of the big clutch. 😕 everyone has their own description for what it's like to drive and NONE of the youtubers with it have any videos talking about it. (That I've seen anyways)

What boost are you targeting with the smaller pulley?

If you watch TJ Hunts video with Boost District, he talks about how bad the clutch was in his twin turbo build. He said it wasn't fun to drive. That and other comments from builders about the Sportsman clutch made me decide to wait before doing anything crazy with the clutch. The Superstock is good for a conservative 800WTQ, but those numbers were tested before tuning. I think it can be pushed further as others like ProCharger ran 750WTQ on the stock clutch with a pressure control module.

Burning Brakes
We are targeting 8-9 pounds. They want to experiment with changing the cog pulley versus the serpentine pulley for a couple of reasons. Ease of access to the front side pulley, less chance of belt slip and having to change the serpentine belt.
