Sorry for the delay folks. The car breathed again after more than a month on Saturday. I wasn't able to be there for the first start but the shop sent me a video and boy, she sounds mean. No leaks or issues. let's go! Alex is making some adjustments to the tune and we should have our first dyno run soon.
Car went on the dyno this afternoon and made around 615 WHP and 580 TQ to the wheels. Ambient was around 83 F. Alex said the data looked fantastic but there is a little bit of tweaking left. We will be running it again in the morning with cooler temperatures and the updated tune in hopes of extracting a little bit more power.
Is it just me or the car has gotten quiet? I had the paragon touring exhaust with stock cats and it was perfect. Maybe I need to put some 200 CEL cats back on for it to be loud again.
That looks like my car! Mine is at Cicio getting the TT package and it has the 200 CEL cats on it and sounds good. Still waiting to get it on the dyno as there were issues with the HP tuning which was just fixed. Hope to get it back next week but here is the
After final updates to the tune, we landed at 562 WHP on a mustang dyno which is 630 RWHP and 590 TQ on a dynojet. Just on 6 PSI of boost, I am pretty happy with the results. I hope they translate to the 60-130 times that I am looking for.
I haven't driven the car yet but plan on picking it up this weekend. Will update as I am able to.
Glad to see it running. Turbos do act as mufflers. I like that there is zero drone inside, but windows down you just hear loud turbo spool.

I appreciate it. Thank you. I am not a fan of the drone either. I did have the 2M cats for a short while paired up with my paragon exhaust but it became too loud for me. Even though it sounded like thunder, I couldn't get used to it from the cabin. Now if the turbo is muffling the sound a little too much, I will put the cats back on.

yes. I know Okievette. He had issues with his tune. He ended up at high 7s since his tune was updated.
That thread has a dozen members posting times all low to mid 8s on 7 psi and below. 2 people hit sub 8 on sub 500 DA with more than 7 psi. The car is not built for 60-130 with a blower, too heavy and loses any advantage of being mid engine at those speeds.

I've been following the FI game for quite some time now. I have seen the improvements made because of better tuning. There is also the type of FI that make a difference. 6 PSI from turbos is equivalent to 7-7.5 PSI from a supercharger. The maggy and turbos are best suited for the C8. Plenty of technical discussions in the other threads so I am not getting into that but in a nutshell you need tremendous amount of torque in the midrange to overcome the gearing on a c8 and this is exactly where the turbos help.
I am not claiming to be an expert. If the car does 8s, i'd be disappointed with this project. I will take mid 7s. We will find out
I am scared. I was really excited to pick her up today. The shop owner took me for a short ride to get my reactions and just to show how the turbos work and give me pointers on maintaining traction. I was like that's not necessary and just wanted to be done with the whole process. Started normal, drove normal in traffic and I am telling myself, this feels just like before, did I waste my $$? He then turned into some backroads, and I kid you not, I was scared to death. Now I was seen many mustang videos where they break traction and end up in the ditches and those kind of thoughts were running in my head. The car kept pulling and pulling while I am trying hold for my dear life. My day long excitement had just turned into a fear.
Screw 60-130. Jk. This car is a monster. I will get 60-130 times once i get used to this power. Yes, this is my first high powered car.
Cons? The car makes 3 different noises. There is the exhaust, whistling and blow off sound. I love the whistling and blowoffs but the exhaust idle not so much. My previous exhaust was the paragon touring was perfect. I do miss the idling of it.
