Fingers crossed. This may well be the reason they do the C8 and C7 concurrently. There are very good reasons for it to be electric but needless to say some Corvette owners are still hoping for coal powered.

Actually, depending on where you are, an electric Corvette is the coal-powered vehicle. Where do you think the electricity to charge it comes from?

Well worth the wait? Only if it ditches the visable headlights, return to the circle taillights, can buy w/o AC/power windows/power locks/power seats. Yep, old school here. Happy 4th everyone.

Natural gas. Wind. Nuclear. Hydroelectric. Coal not so much anymore.

I can't see that being the car. Too much aero loading forward center of the car. At high speed, that will turn the car around. Look at other mid engine cars and you will see what I'm getting at. Imagine the air pushing on the front and down on the car.

...you mean like this brick...? seems to do alright at high speeds...

Of course my render is just a mod for fun using existing info and cars and has no real engineering to it. Just meant to be an exorcise in overall shape and proportions to keep it "looking" like a corvette.

Thanks for looking and comments. If you are looking at the nose tilted up a bit much...I fixed that on the other pages. I am hoping we get better than my mod.

And coal has been dropping like a stone. Forget bringing back mining jobs.

I used to say the same thing my friend. I laughed at Tesla investors and thought it was a great short! Here are the stats as of 2014 and overall we're getting cleaner with time. Once I throw solar up I'll just powering future cars with the big clean energy nuke in the sky.

Best,
Gene

Where I live, it is 100% coal that is providing my electricity. Long, long trains from Wyoming deliver the coal. Short term peak demand electricity is supplied by jet fuel.

Now, now. Apparently we're not allowed to say that. Agendas and all, you know.

Same here in Cedar Rapids Iowa, power plants are run by coal. Major railways go through here and I see trains pulling nothing but coal cars, LOTS of coal cars. We do have a nuke power plant nearby (50 miles) though, I wonder were it's power goes The local college has one wind turbine also, power used by the college and also used to train wind turbine students.
