It's camoflauged but the proportions are Ferrari/Lambo/McClaren/Ford GT-ish so yes it is mid-engine. I'm happy with my GS too but this is going to be a big step forward in performance. I'd much rather have 650+ HP behind me instead of over the front wheels.

Glad you can tell so much about the final production car based on camouflaged (specifically designed to throw off body lines) prototypes. Much like the C6 guys that swore up and down about how bad the C7 was, you'll get over it soon

The Design was needed in GTLM.Well,The C7 ain't doing to bad.The sooner they perfect the mid engine the better.Hate to see Team Corvette playing catch up.

To be honest the C7 got my juices running right away. This Mid is short and fat in the front and too long in the Rear..So far...POOP
Just my opinion here on ME Design
To answer the question:It is a guess with the C7,Why because of the front rim design
Just got moved to C8 Discussion.I had a feeling it might happen,it did
..I will get BEAT BAD HERE... ...:s mash: :pist ols:

Dale, since you're so good at evaluating designs of pre-production prototypes, can you tell me what very successful car this is?

On another note, looking forward to hearing about what they've been working on, because I like cars and the GM team has done pretty okay so far in my book...

Ugly?
This likely is some level of mule designed for testing components. It will have the rough proportions of the eventual car, but not the styling. You really can't tell whether the final version will be attractive or not based on such a test car. (However, traditionally, GM has had some of the best styling in the industry.)

Deservedly so. Surely you are aware of the lengths Chevy will go to camo its mules and here you are dissing its design??? That makes no sense at all. There is very likely a lot of cardboard and duct tape underneath there.

that's a big *** back end. why I don't like the look of some mid engine cars. the C7 is proportionally perfect imo

^^^ As far as "big *** back ends" go, the Audi R8 is the worst of the bunch IMO.
In profile, it looks awful.
I think it's WAAAAY too early to try to determine what the ME will eventually look like.
The photos you guys have been posting makes the point how easy it is to totally camouflage a car.
