I have wanted a fast GM AWD car since the typhoon days. The limiting performance factor in hi hp street car is grip. Corvette finished 1st & 2nd in 2003 1 lap of America. I slipped to 2nd. 1 lap is real world unlimited street car battle on street tires. Since 2003 it has been dominated by AWD cars. RWD with sticky tires on a track works. Not street tires, big power. Any rain, cold rwd done.

The day may come, but if it does I'd imagine it'd likely be in the form of front hub motors like an NSX.
