And dude, you have better eyes than I do. Still looks like a shapeless black blob to me. With a big *** rear end that will ultimately be just a big ***, featureless, rear end.
It's common practice for them to add fake panels under the camo to disguise the actual shape of the car.

Link to a video of the cars driving. Looks like the ZR1 was used as a blocker to prevent photos being taken.
Anybody save the video?
I missed it ,and it’s making me sad.

Can anyone tell if there is any surface immediately under the tarp between the buttresses ? I'd love to see it at this close range in motion - the movement of the fabric would be a giveaway. If it flops up and down, its probably like a 246 Dino rear end. If its solid, its like a 458 Italia rear end with a full glass hatch.

i don’t know why it would be taken down. Wasn’t even up one hour. There was no music. Just 3 seconds worth of a gps talking with road noise. But it was just video of them driving around and every time he got a chance to pass the ZR1 blocked him so he couldn’t film. I bet it was GM that made it get removed.

Playing with the Apple Preview photo editor on my Mac, you can see that the very black section of the cladding in the back over the hatch / buttresses is actually a mesh - looks like something that would allow the driver to see aft. Still no clue as to whether this is over a void / vertical window or a hatch-type streamlined window.

Not sure what the white thing is on the centerline. It WOULD be cool if they offered the car with a full time rear camera for the rear view mirror. I think I read somewhere that the DOT is allowing "artificial vision" for the rear view for the first time in MY2019 or MY2020.

It's been legal since 2016. It debuted on the 2016 CT6 and it's made it to a few other GM cars since then.

I agree that the exterior design is done. There is definitely a lot of drivetrain and suspension testing going on and Colorado is a good place to force the drivetrain to work, especially up at the altitude GM is working these mules in. I also believe that Camo HAS TO COME off soon, as GM will need to start moving on with final engine, stability, traction, and braking algorithms very soon. Simply no way around it. Camo could easily affect something and GM already learned that. Fully expect an early announcement or "accidental" non-camo'd C8 caught in the wild very soon.

These pictures reinforce my belief that the coupe (which this car is), has a fastback glass window. If the fabric was stretched so tautly that it wouldn't sag then one would see some stretch lines running horizontally. There aren't any. The fabric appears to me to be resting on something.

Frankly at this point I don't see much to say this car will be much to look at.However, camo and fake panels are ment hide everything so that's OK.

The real excitement will come when we see the real lines and what the car can do.Hopefully leaks in December and a debut soon.

i saw 550 hp quote somewhere. zero possibility of a hybrid combo on the base model in my opinion.

I think this photo has the best perspective to date on the short front end and how close the drivers toes are to the front grill...
