You're waiting to win $400 Mil to buy a Porsche 911 Turbo? Perhaps you were talking about buying an entire Porsche Dealership??? LOL......if you're that hard up for a 911 Turbo, you can buy a very lightly used one for the same price as a new ZR1.
FYI, if I'd won a $1 or a Trillion dollars a Porsche would not be on my radar. There's a lot of real exotic cars out there that are much sexier and not so vastly overpriced!! The other day I saw a Z06 and a 911 Turbo parked side by side and to me the Z06 was much more attractive! But looks are objective.

Did you ever think that maybe the 911 Turbo might be his dream car?
Or that just maybe he wants to have the quickest/fastest bang for a buck, and not to be in debt when he purchases his other dream(s) as well?
Maybe he might have a different opinion from most and just likes to save money (Best bang for the buck/best reliability for the buck/best dream car)?

I stand by my comment.

I don't think Ferrari is too worried. They sell plenty of cars.
There are plenty of Corvette owners that also own exotics. I own an F12 in addition to the Z07 car. The finesse of the F12 is unreal and not really comparable to the Corvette. Straight up perf wise they are very similar, they just do it really differently.

Nope, not a chance. GM's industrial design simply isn't at the level of Lamborghini's and Ferrari/Pininfarina's. Not even close.
Consider that the designers who created the C8 also created the '19 Camaro. They literally got confused and put a truck front end on their entry level sports car for one of the ugliest designs in all of automotive history.
The Italians aren't afraid of the C8, nor are the Germans.

What were they thinking with the '19 Camaro SS? I would have bought one to hold me over until the C8 came out. Not with that front end I'm not.

I'm glad I bought a 2018, new facelift is pretty bad

That's VERY nice, but that ugly car puts out such a cheesy vibe. It doesn't hold a candle to the beauty of the new Mustang, which looks like the result of a BMW M4 having its way with a '64 Mustang, while the Camaro looks like the wet dream of a 13 year old after he binge-watched 11 hours of Transformers movies.

This is why Chevy does not threaten any elite supercar manufacturer.

I don't think they will run Ferrari and Lambo out of business, but I'm sure some buyers will opt for the Corvette if it works well. To think otherwise is just stupid if the C8 is a fraction of the price. Sure, some people have to have a certain brand, but many people want the best product or the best performance per dollar.
