New C8 Render Photos 10/9/18

Nice render. As I see the camo cars it seems the air outlets below the taillight are angled in towards the side of the car. At least that’s how I read it in the photos. As well, the black trim piece and grill on the bottom of the rear protrudes out ever so slightly. As I have said before, if that rear spoiler is not part of an active aero package, I will be deleting that ugly spoiler. The C8 needs a more delicate looking rear spoiler. Everything else I like .

Ok so I’m beginning to wonder ... “what if” ... GM has put so many fake/camo panels and disguises on all these mules just to throw the media and Corvette enthusiasts so far off that we doubt just how good the eventual car will look? My first impression of the test cars is that the proportion and stance just doesn’t look all that great BUT for some reason I feel that the finished product will be really well received by the automotive world.
Could GM really be playing slight of hand with all of us? Are we in for a HUGE surprise at the reveal? Just sayin’
My bet is on a Corvette that we just never saw coming based on the photos and videos we’ve all seen.

Of course they're playing with us with the camo cars, but at the same time they're generating a lot of interest. I'm confident Tadge and his boys won't let us down and the final product will be great, but for now it's all fun & games, and once they pull the cover off we'll see who had the most accurate renderings!

Most of you guys are full of bs if you think this is ugly. Just squint your eyes and look around the INSIDE of the tail lights, we know what the overall shape will be, the inside of the tail lights is directly taken from the 2019 Camaro. Aside from that and the hideous spoiler, the car looks great, and that side scoop is so aggressive and unique! Absolutely love it.

The word Frankenstein comes to mind .
Guess well I'll have to wait until the bandages are completely off.
I feel like more could have been done here.
Especially the rear.
Camaro fans will love it though . I guess they will be the ones getting a mid engine car instead of corvette owners.

I am with Shaka on this one.
The renderings themself show excellent artistic skills.
That aside, if the C8 is anything like this rendering, it looks like ***.
It looks like a botched up vivisection between Acura NSX, Lamborghini Aventador, Ferrari 488, Camaro, and ***.

Great photoshop skills! But that rear end looks wrong in so many ways! It looks like a tacked on piece from another car. I hope production car looks way better in the back.

The engineering effort for programs like this are on such a tight schedule and budget, there would be no benefit on wasting all of those resources and not get the media benefit out of it.

Props to the Artist with the Photoshop skills!, ... but what everyone is seeing that's so abhorrent in that 3rd, rearview pic, is the "flat", improper placement, presentation of the rear end of the car. It's not drawn in the proper way to show the double tapered corners of the car, or the protruding center license plate area. In short, the car and the rear portion of the car don't blend properly for a correct 3/4 rear view angle. The rear bumper cover is not a flat board type presentation, but rather has beveled off corners at the end of each quarter panel. The artist did an otherwise outstanding job!

I truly appreciate folks taking the time to do a "render".
And I'm amazed that people tell them what they got wrong....(like the critics have actually SEEN the car)
