That’s still a major unknown, but It seems that the first high-performance C8 will NOT debut at Detroit.

It makes sense to race it out of the gate given the monumental change of being mid-engined. Dodge did it with the Gen V Viper, Chevy can do it.

If they don't release it in Detroit it's a mistake.... it's the most iconic American car ever. You release it at home.

No they haven't.
The automotive press HAS been teasing since 1973. GM NEVER said they were going to do a mid-engine Corvette. And the last show car ME was 1987 (of the 5 total ME's they made as SHOW CARS).
